      My mother contracted work with a gentleman named Steve Wagner to clean her gutters and cover them with gutter guards. He told her he needed $200 in advance to go buy the product for her. She gave him a check, which he immediately cashed and has not returned to do the work for multiple days. He is also not answering his phone despite her leaving multiple messages. We have since discovered that he has done this to other people – asking for money and never completing work. It is clear he continues to pray on the elderly, taking advantage of their situation, stealing their money, and not completing what he says he’s going to do. It is absolutely despicable. She just wants her money back at this point.

      I hired Steven Wagner to clean my gutters and perform some repairs to my gutter system in December 2022. I paid him ~$800 in advance so that he could purchase supplies for the work. Between December '22 and March '23, I followed up with Steve numerous times and he did not call me back. In March '23, I left several negative reviews online, which finally prompted a response from him. He told me via text if I took the reviews down, he would complete the work within the week. Since then, there have been repeated promises and fails to deliver on the work. I have all of this documented via text. I'm sharing the screenshots between my partner, Steve and me. There are more between Steve and me where additional promises were made but he failed to show up.

      Date of Transaction 08/04/2022 Work to be done. Roof repair. Painting. Dry wall, power wash house + window Cleaning etc. cost on receipt # 086 coated $ 3500.00. Paid $1000 deposit rest after completion of work Was to start on 8/9/22. 1.- cancelled work Due to wife’s father passing away on 8/7 /22 due to old age of 94 Mr Wagner said he would come on 8/10 Wednesday. He cancelled saying his wife may have stroke , going to hospital He sent some one to do part of roof patch work. He did part of roof work for 2 hours After that he scheduled work two times and did not come. One reason was daughter’s graduation in August ? After that he is not responding to text massages or phone calls Desired settlement Refused the deposit $ 1000.00– $200 for Two hours of partial roof work.
