    To be very clear, I would not recommend this company. While there was a delay in receiving the equipment, the pendant worked as expected once it arrived. On only a few occasions did my mother need to use the service, but each time the response was prompt and professional, although it is my understanding that the actual emergency calls are not handled locally.
    The real issues began when we needed to swap out equipment, which resulted in one delay after another dealing with Josh. The situation worsened when we no longer needed the service and called Josh to cancel. Despite multiple attempts to return the equipment, Josh repeatedly promised to follow up but failed to do so. We continued to get charged for months after cancelling service, despite being told a credit had been issued, which turned out to be untrue. When I informed Josh that I would contact the bank to stop the automatic withdrawals, he accused me of threatening him. Ultimately, I did work with the bank to block further charges and returned the equipment to a PO box address that Josh finally provided. While the First Alert offers services that could greatly benefit many seniors, it's so unfortunate that locally, Josh's poor customer service diminishes the value of their offerings. Without an advocate, I can see how many customers could easily be taken advantage of. I felt compelled to write this review to warn others and hopefully prevent someone from experiencing the negative treatment we did.

    THIS IS A SCAM!!! Ordered this for my dad and 1.5 weeks later the order was "awaiting processing" but yet the money was taken out of our account. Emailed josh klein asking for an update but he never emailed back. Finally called and he said he would credit the money back and that he suggested finding another company as their buttons are only meant for 20 miles from their address. Their flyer was given to me from a Rehab center in KS. Called Josh again as the money still has not been credited. I told him I was turning him in for scamming the elderly and he said we're done here and you're not getting your money.

    This is a scam. Don't place an order you will never get the product. Seems to be a one man business and he is always making excuses as to why the product has not shipped. He gets angry when questioned and will hang up on you.
