On April 19, 2022, Highmark of WNY posted a list of 42 people/companies owed "unclaimed checks". My name was on that list. The instructions were to call a number for more information. I called that number no less than 20 times. I left messages. I called customer service. I never received a response. In June, I received a letter from Highmark of WNY asking that I review and sign a form and return it to them by 6/22/22. I did that immediately. Again the same number is given to call for more information. Again, there is no response. It is now December of 2022 and I have never heard back from Highmark of WNY. I have been a subscriber for over 40 years. I have lived at this address for over 30 of those years. I receive correspondence from Highmark as often as three times per month with no problem. If they owe me money, I would like to know what that money is from and how long they have owed it to me. To classify this as an "unclaimed check" is preposterous. How could I claim something I know nothing about. There is no excuse for this delay. I could have researched the 42 names on that list several times over in the past 7 months.

Highmark insurance recently took over ***** ** ****. They are responsible for processing claims of both local ***** and as conduits for out of state *****. All out of state claims have to be processed by local. Since taking over on 9/1/2022, both local and out of state claims are not being processed and instead are telling both the provider (me) and clients that there is a "system error" indicating claims not paid and should be submitted through local ****** WHICH IS WHAT THEY ARE!!!!!They also say, when someone bothers to answer the phone, generally taking 45 minutes to an hour, that there is no resolution in sight!!!!!! How this company continues to operate is unbelievable. I hope that by filing this complaint, someone will respond who has the power to implement change I want both payment and resolution to customer service issues.

I have Federal Employee's Blue Cross Blue Shield (BC/BS) and recently moved to Western NY. For over a month I have tried to find new doctors on the www.*******.org website. The search for doctors on the website indicates no doctors can be found in Western NY that are covered under the Highmark BC/BS for Federal Employees BC/BS. I have to find family primary care provider, endocrinologist and podiatrist. I filed a complaint on their website and after a week nothing has been fixed. I called and they offered to help me find a doctor. I would be on the phone for hours trying to find three doctors. This is gross incompetence and needs to be fixed immediately, not in weeks!
