    Elective surgery pre-paid eight days prior to surgery . Cancelled the procedure 5 days later due to two medical reasons . One was an allergic dermatitis on my face and the other ,we found out we’re moving out of state in 3 weeks . Rendering me medically un able to follow post recovery guidelines and follow up with post op appointments and if any complications arise would not be able to follow up for correcting . The doctors nurse advised me upon notfiication of these issues that the refund policy is a $500 deposit non refunded . She was arranging the surgery schedule as to fill in any gaps.
    I requested twice the doctors office please send a document to ********** informing them of the surgery cancellation per there request for written communication from Dr . I also asked for a full refund less the $500 as this procedure was medically impossible for me to have and or reschedule due to a medical and geographical issue.
    Lisa the billing manager was vey unprofessional and rude regarding this informing I will be charged over $2500 and would not honor my medical and relocation issues nor offer any professional courtesy. I am a 26 year veteran RN and have worked along Dr. S*****’s and have cared for many of his patients at Sisters Hospital. The contract states if cancelled prior to 2 weeks with a medical reason there won’t be any charge. I didn’t even pay for the procedure until 8 days prior. I have disputed this with my credit card company and would like a full refund as no services were rendered and a valid medical reason was presented. The hospital graciously refunded me in full without issue.
    I would also like the doctors office to provide the ******** ********** department with the requested paperwork showing the surgery was cancelled as to have there department release my refund . This was requested twice from Dr. S*****’s manager Lisa.
    Very disappointed in the lack of compassion, understanding , customer service and lack of professional courteously.

    This office is in receipt of the above-referenced complaint, dated September 7, 2022. Please be advised that, except for a $500.00 non­refundable deposit which the Customer is aware of and is referenced in her "Customer's Statement of the Problem", the full balance of the disputed amount has been refunded to the Customer as requested, In refunding the balance of the charge, this office does not admit any error, fault, or liability with regard to this charge.  The cardholder has been notified of the refund and she approves of same. Refund receipts have been emailed to her whieh she has acknowledged receipt and the credit card company dispute resolved.  I trust that this refund will resolve this complaint.
