    Black Rock Roofing was contracted to do a complete roof replacement on a property I own in Buffalo, NY. Immediately upon completion of the work, I noticed that they did not install proper intake ventilation for the roof. I contacted Black Rock Roofing to remedy this, and was told it was not part of their contract. However, my contract states "All work performed per manufacturer's specifications", and when I contacted the shingle manufacturer, was told that adequate intake ventilation is definitely part of their specification and is required.

    I have been told by Black Rock that they would install the ventilation, but it has been over 3 months and they have only completed half of it (about 2 months ago). I have reached out to them multiple times about completing the job, as has the shingle manufacturer, and when they (Mark B) finally returned my calls, I was told "we're only doing this as a courtesy to you and can't get a crew out to you for 2-3 weeks". That was a month ago and have received no additional follow-up.

    Only seeking remedy in the form of them completing the job and finalizing the ventilation installation per manufacturer specifications.

    Blackrock Roofing was contracted to install a roof, gutters and remove 2 chimneys at ** ****** ******** Blackrock completed all the work as per our agreement. After the work was done the homeowner ask to have soffit vents installed. Blackrock agreed to install some vent free of charge at our convenience. Blackrock will have them installed by the end of October.

    I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID ********, and find that this resolution is satisfactory to me.  
    I will follow up further if the business does not complete the work as mentioned in their response.
