In March of 2023, I contracted with Timberwolf Tree Services from Cambridge, NY to remove a very large old tree from my front yard. It was a difficult removal and the crew did a good job with the removal and clean up. Included in the signed contract was removal of the large stump - this was to be completed after the spring thaw. Jacob, the supervisor was paid in full and he told me that he would be in contact during the summer - he was not. After several unanswered phone calls, voice messages and texts over 4 months, I was told by Jacob that the stump removal could not be done and that I should be satisfied with their work as is. I was not satisfied and I initiated a small claims court action. The Court ruled in my favor based on the documentation presented - including the signed contract and the fact that no one from Timberwolf Tree Services responded to the Court’s request. Subsequently, I successfully initiated a property lien against the company’s owner. This company did not keep its (signed) word.

Timberwolf showed up at my house on 3/8/2023 and offered to remove a very large dead tree on my property. I'm a new home owner and knew this day would come. Jacob gave me a quote and I accepted. They got right to work. The job took a few days. On 3/16/2023, as they were finishing up (I thought), I paid them. They requested 1/2 check and 1/2 cash. They left the job, leaving behind their equipment and an enormous tree trunk on my neighbors property. I figured it would get removed when they came for the equipment. We had some terrible weather so I was patiently waiting. About 3 weeks later I came home and noticed that they came back for the equipment that day but left the tree trunk. I called and left a voicemail checking on the plan for what they left behind. They responded with "We already discussed with your neighbor yesterday. We are coming back to take care of everything soon". It's been 4 weeks since I got that message and NOW they're not responding! I have no way of removing the trunk from my neighbors yard.
