    I bought a 2015 **** ****** from stones garage for 5,200 on 2/21/2025
    It made it to 03/27/2025 and then the transmission died, I had only put 3,000 miles on the car I had contacted the garage and the garages repair person and never got a reply back until the transmission had stopped working then that’s when he proceeded to tell me there was nothing he could do besides talk to someone to have them fix my transmission for cheap. I can’t afford it and he had told me to buy one of the most expensive cars on the lot due to it being the most reliable. The car broke down as I had my 12 year old brother in law and my 11 month old daughter was in the backseat. All I’m asking is for him to fix it for me because there’s no reason it should’ve broke down with barely 3,000 miles added. I had also asked them to check it out after I had bought it and they never replied back when I told them it was acting weird.I’ve left multiple voicemails and text messages.

    Good morning Ms. *******,We received your BBB complaint regarding the 2015 **** ******. First, we are truly sorry that you experienced this problem. We have a mechanic go through the used vehicles and a NYS inspection completed at another garage, this car was inspected by *********. We do our best to ensure that the used vehicles we sell are clean, safe, and reliable. Unfortunately, some issues such as the transmission are not detectable at the time of sale which is why we do extend a courtesy garage repair if within the first 500-1000 miles as a "good faith" measure. The vehicle you purchased on 2/21/2025 had 184,203 miles. In NYS the Limited Warranty does not apply to vehicles over 100,000 miles. Even though your receipt for the vehicle states "as is over 100,000 miles", our courtesy repairs extend to 500-1000 miles and as stated in your complaint and attachments the vehicle was driven approximately 3,000 miles. Please accept our sincere apologies. As we have stated some mechanical issues are not predictable and we endeavor to ensure the used vehicles we do sell are mechanically sound. Your vehicle falls outside of NYS warranty and our own courtesy repair limits. Our recommendation is to contact a repairman which we provided a name and contact information of a reputable repairman that specializes in transmissions at an affordable price.Again, our apologies.Stone's Garage
