    We paid this company to run wiring to and put together/install 4 ceiling fans in our residential home. Initially the ceiling fans were put together incorrectly, I had to spend 2 hours fixing the mistake they made. I was also told that instead of installing ceiling boxes for the fans they used “zip screws” and swore by them stating that they were rated for this type of job and would never come out. Now less than a year later, 2 fans have fallen out of the ceiling. One of which struck our dog and we will be bringing her to the vet for a checkup tomorrow.

    We have also had to pay another contractor to come and install ceiling boxes for one of the fans so far with more work pending. And we will now have had to pay for 2 entirely new ceiling fans. I have attempted to contact this company and was told that the owner had passed away. We would like a full refund on the work that they did as well as the money it costs to replace both fans. We would also like for the company to pay for any out of pocket veterinary medical bills that may result from this last fan falling today.

    On October 13, 2022 I gave a deposit of $1130 to CNY Electrical to have electrical work done and updated. I was in contact with Shawn and he was working on getting the parts needed. The work was never started. I've been attempting to contact the phone number he provided me with for a few weeks but the mailbox is full. Unfortunately I just found out that he had passed away in the beginning of March. I'm not sure how to go about getting my deposit money back.

    On August 8th I paid a $565 dollar deposit for CNY electrical to come and install wiring for my electric hot tub. They company no called and no showed. When I was able to get a hold of them a few days later I was told that he had been in a fight with his wife and his phone was broken. He then rescheduled for later in the week Monday the 12th of September. He then again did not call or show up, when I got a hold of him he said he was trying to work out things with his wife and would come the next day (the 13th of September) between 9 and 10. Showed up after 1 pm and said it was a further distance then he thought and it would be an extra $1000 dollars and he needed to get more supplies then and would come back the next day. He then did not show up or call once again the next day. At that point I asked for my deposit to be returned. On Friday the 16th of September he said he was in the hospital and would refund my deposit. On Saturday the 17th of September he said he would refund it on Monday. He then refused to answer any of my calls or text messages. I then had an associate reach out to the company to request a refund on my behalf which he said he requested on the 28th of September. Said it would take up to 10 business days. I still have not received refund and have let him know. It has been over a month and he still has my $565 dollars.

    BBB spoke to Shawn at the business and the following was relayed: I did issue the refund and my bank confirmed the money was taken out, which I provided a copy to the customer by text. However, since the customer has stated the refund has still not been received on their end, I will send a check by mail to resolve.
