    I paid 6000 dollar through *** **** checks - one for 1500 and other 4500 as a deposit to finish my backyard patio which was quoted for 8000. The contract was signed on June, 2024 with the promises to finish the job in one week time frame or at the. most two weeks. It has been almost 5 months now and job is not done nor deposit is returned to us. I have called the owner, Josh Hurley, for at least 20 times and texted him for about 30 times, but no results.

    We hired Josh to remove a fallen tree and stump. He removed the tree but was having issues removing the stump. After several attempts at trying to remove it, he ignored all texts and phone calls. We paid the full amount of $700 up front. Was not a good decision. Have requested $350 back. Can't get hold of him. This was in September of 2023. We still have a large stump in the back yard.

    Hired Josh H***** in September for the hardscape and drainage around my new inground pool that I just had installed that desperately needed French drains and grading around the pool to be done asap per my pool company or my brand new pool could be damaged. He promised 3 weeks. We trusted Josh and paid for all of the supplies up front. Continued to pay him advanced labor payments when he asked us during the job which added up quickly to $25,980. He has yet to work a full day like he says he is going to or have his crew on the job. When he does show up it’s only for a few hours. Shows up later than promised or not at all and leaves early.
    I would like the excuses to end and to complete the job or give me a full refund.
    He post dated a check for a partial refund of $7600 for the pavers 2 weeks ago but he keeps saying don’t cash it yet and he will let me know when the money clears his bank.
    He has made lots of mistakes that he has offered to fix but has not leaving nothing completed.
