We can't tell you how thrilled were are with our new shower. It was installed by LOGAN who was so personable and thorough with the work. He was here promptly at 8:30 and worked through until 3. Very nice young man!

Very bad return service. I have been trying to get a service appointment for going on 2 months now. They had to reschedule 4 times. Explanation was not enough employees for install and service. On top of that I have had to call each time because no one from the company at the Colonie location called for the rescheduling. two times were no shows. they basically said installs come first then they worry about repairs. I have had them install two tubs at two different properties. I will thing again if I need additional installs from this company. I asked to speak to a service manager and was told they do not work at the property they work from home in a different state, Not happy with the service from this company at all.

I told the Bath Fitter salesperson my tub was leaking. He assured me it was a minor issue—just something loose—and that their system would solve it. If it had been an underlying plumbing issue, I obviously would’ve called a plumber before spending $8,000. The installer had no idea about the leak, didn’t cut an access panel, and finished in one day. A week later, the tub was leaking again. My dad had to fix an O-ring that wasn’t installed properly.
The installer returned, cut an access panel, and supposedly fixed it—but it leaked worse the next week. Someone from the Florida office came out and fixed it again (after my dad already had). Then the tub wouldn’t drain. That may not have been their fault, and I appreciated that someone came and snaked it.
They also installed a toilet, and after plunging it, water leaked through our ceiling. Their recommended plumber said it needed to be reset. Bath Fitter told me to just have my dad do it—like his time doesn’t matter.
I’ve had four different people in my house fixing their mistakes since November. I asked for $600 back for the damage and stress, and they refused. The office manager was rude and told me to stop contacting them. The owner did send a $100 gift card, but the problems just kept coming.
The tub does look great—but it’s definitely not worth $8,000 and all the hassle.

I did two bathrooms last year, one had a tub, one a shower.
I’m not sure where to start as there were so many issues which I’ve ignored but not the tub has a scratch which looks black and I’m not sure how it happened as nothings been used in it other than washcloths and gentle cleansers.
They do guarantee for as long as you own your home it won’t chip or peel or scratch but they’ve never called me back when I asked what I can used to cover that scratch.
That’s the recent problem. Let me tell you about my experience with them. The man who came out was nice but when telling me the height of the tub would be higher after he neglected to tell me how many inches I’d lose in the width which now makes it unable to move your elbows , sit cross legged or get up and out normally because it’s so skinny.
Luckily I’m about 5’2 125 lbs so 9 do fit in it but they’ve never called made it so high I can’t use the edges to put my elbows and there’s hard bumps along the bottom which are painful to sit on. There’s no room left on the left side and so to get out, you can only grip the right side and have to use your leg strength and your right arm to pull yourself up and out which I think makes it very dangerous for an older person. They also forgot and never installed a bar i asked for. The tub won’t fit anyone o think over 5’6 or maybe 5’7 and nobody heavy probably will do well in it as it’s list so much room now.
The shower looks nice but is very slippery as well as has the same bumps on the floor which make it painful to stand on but because it’s so slippery I needed a loofah type mat anyway. I first got a teak mat but the whole thing kept sliding but a loofah mat stays put and I don’t slip.
The shelves in the shower are pretty useless as only one is flat and can hold bottles or other items, the rest for some reason slope down making it non functional which reminds me the tub corners also are sloped a little so they also have a problem of things slipping into the tub too.

I have the MOST HORRIBLE time with someone from Bath Fitters fixing my issue with my tub. They have my money, but after the job is done is the waiting game for someone to return my call.

This complaint concerns the Bathfitter located on Watervliet State Street in Albany NY.The intial installation looked fine until I found out everything was not tightened. Shower head leaked from tape seal, tub spigot wasnt tightened and feed pipe was left loose in the wall. I was forced to remove my old valve,* **** ****,which I'd rebuilt for a ******* ******** ********. Could get could not get the shop to deal with me without calling the Tennessee headquarters. It finally got fixed but i had to supply my own tape and 2x4 . It finally got straighted out but I cant recommend this franchisee

Bathfitters in Colonie. A definitive "not recommend". They require someone to be home for the installation and any repairs to the botched initial install. The bath was installed incorrectly by a very young new employee toward the end of November. A distric manager came out to inspect it and promised only a seasoned installer would come to correct it after the holidays. No availability to reschedule until January. We called and said we are sick but you can still come if your tech is comfortable with that. They said no, we rescheduled for my next day off - today. Called them two different days, including noon Friday, last week to confirm what time today with no return calls. This morning they say I was not on the schedule and with only 2 installers there is no one is available. Called that afternoon to ask what resolution they had come up with and they said they were consulting their team. Been 3 days waiting on their answer and to reschedule a third attempt to fix their initial install problems..

If I hear nothing in another 24 hours or do not get a full refund so I can hire someone else to redo it, I am going to the NYS Attny General and my small claims court to file against them.

Bath Fitters located in Albany, NY has poor service. I needed a repair, and when a technician came out to see what the problem was, the technician mentioned to Bath Fitters that I needed a new drain and a boot/shoe. Bath Fitters only order a drain (I was unaware that I needed a boot/'shoe). The drain was fixed, however, my ceiling was damaged from water damage because the boot/shoe was corroded (per the technician that came back out). The technician mentioned that he told Bath Fitters that I needed a boot/shoe and doesn't know why they didn't order what he told them. I have been without a shower for almost a week. Can't take a shower. Spoke with Stephanie from Bath Fitters and she keeps telling me she has to speak with management before she can order anything. Stephanie kept assisting that someone was coming out. It's been 3 days, and NO ONE has come out. My Thanksgiving was ruined. Your told that someone will come out between certain hours of the day, and they NEVER come out. I waste my time waiting on someone to come out. On top of that, they don't call you to let you know that the technician isn't coming. Poor customer service. I WILL NEVER RECOMMEND BATH FITTER to anyone. Your better off going to **** ***** or *****. Bath Fitters just want money. I read somewhere they are losing money due to competitors. I don't blame people for not using Bath Fitters. I plan on filing a civil suit against this company. I have water damage on my ceiling because of a part that wasn't ordered. Bath Fitters said they will replace the damaged ceiling, but they cant even get someone to come out to replace a part that I needed in the first place. I WOULD recommend you spend your money somewhere else.
