I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID ********, and find that this resolution is not satisfactory to me.
I want to dispute everything that Corning credit Union is trying to do to me.
      Regards,

****** ****me for money that I don’t have to donate to them.
In my opinion this is a donation of $51157.38 being force on me by (CCU) because I have nothing to show for it. I should have the rights to renege on a company that reneged on their contract first. *** did not complete the job.
I have worked hard since the age of 14; I believe in paying all my bills that I honestly make. As an African Female American, I have always had to work harder to prove myself, to my counterparts in America, I have always done the right things like paying my bills, and to take care of my home as I should.
But I have no intentions of paying for something that I don’t have; for instant, an incomplete solar system By *** Whom I don’t trust.
I will only let *** back on my property to remove every bolt, screw and Metal parts that they put on my house.

I am asking the BBB to help me out. I feel I was scammed, because it took 5 months for *** to show up to my house and work for 2 hours. I don’t trust ***. I have asked them several times to come and move the incomplete material that they have left on my home. And they refuse to do it.

Corning Credit Union has reviewed the information supplied. In discussion with ***, Ms. **** was reimbursed all loan payments up until the point she would not allow for work to be completed. *** sent reimbursement for 9 payments made. *** is also trying to work out an agreement to complete the work but have been unsuccessful. CCU would be able to provide loan repayment forbearance until completion but only if work is able to be completed. Please contact *** to complete the final steps of installation.

I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID ********, and have determined that this does not resolve my complaint.

I do not Accept the response made by Corning Credit Union (CCU). CCU have removed $2,588.56 over 13 months even after had let them know that *** had not completed the job.  I have information that *** doesn't have license to operate here in Kansas and *** have closed out the solar part of the company. Now how can a company keep charging when a business did not complete the job and closed out that part of the business.  I'm asking Corning to do the right thing, "Refund all the money that they seized from my account, and stop billing me for something that I don't have. I can't donate any amount of money to them.  CCU is no good for taking from the poor and making their pockets fat.   do the right thing, CCU, refund me and remove my name from you companies billing list, I owe you nothing.  Remember. *** have made you look like a fool too!
      Regards,

I can confirm that the contract has intact complained out your sales practices regarding this. They informed me that it originated with you original refusing to do assumptions and now they have found a pattern where you have declined 100% of assumptions. I also know they are complaining because I was included on the email they sent to complain.  Your claims of no wrong doing also are unfounded considering the ********* ** sued your company for simular sales practices and your company lost that suit. Your company can no longer do solar loans in that state. Corning credit union has a proven history of unethical sales practices regarding solar loans.
      Regards,

***** ******partner with them and they informed me they have filed multiple complaints because they are now taking the heat for this shady sales tactics of the finance company.

Because of this, our buyer is planning on asking out, delaying our escrow for the house we are purchasing and have already invested significant money into.

      Business Response

      Date: 06/27/2023

Corning Credit Union has reviewed the information supplied.
Mr. ****** spoke with our team, due to the nature of the lending decision not
being for him personally we are unable to discuss the detailed information regarding
the lending decision with him. The credit union has underwriting procedures for
assumptions, and these were followed when the decision to deny the assumption
was made. If Mr. ****** would like to proceed with the sale of the home, he
would just need to pay the loan in full once the title is transferred. As for the information he received regarding the statement,
“if they qualify for a mortgage, they should have no problem qualifying for the
assumption” this was not a credit union employee. He spoke with the installer
at the time of design agreement, and they do not make lending decisions for the
credit union. The solar installer that he worked with, stating that they have
filed complaints because they are taking heat for shady sales tactics of the
finance company, is a false statement. The credit union has approved and denied
many assumptions for this installer. While we can not determine what exactly
was said, there are lending guidelines for the solar units that any borrower
would need to qualify for to finance with the credit union. In closing, the credit union stands by the lending decision
to deny the assumption. If Mr. ****** would like to proceed with the sale, he
can pay the loan in full when that takes place. As stated in the lending
documents he signed, the credit union reserves the right to have underwriting
guidelines for loan assumptions and the purchaser of the home must meet that
      criteria.

      Business Response

      Date: 06/28/2023

Corning Credit Union takes all complaints seriously. While
the above statements have nothing to do with the purchaser qualifying for an
assumption, I can confirm both of your statements are false. We have addressed
your initial complaint and what you were seeking for resolution, if you should
have any further questions please contact the credit union directly. At this
point we now consider this complaint addressed and closed.

[It is deeply concerning that corning credit union and sunlight financial continue to suggest my claims are fales despite there being publicly available info detailing these abusive actions. See link below directing to the ********* AG press realease naming sunlight financial as a defendent in this case. I would be happy to further share my communication with the contractor and corning cu sales rep if needed as well. At this point in time, i will be taking a 40k loss in the sale of my house. I expect to be compensated for my financial damages and will continue to pursue this in court and with regulators in not addressed. **********************************************************************

called consumer and he stated that the business rudely admitted that they have been having this issue with this business and as a courtesy they will remove charges, however, it may get sent to collection agency. ngs to purposely set me off. Being that I do have a head injury it sets me off easy I cannot deal with nonsense anymore. Tim knows this and this is why he makes comments that a private would say to set off an SGT. He laughs at some of the things he says as well as if it was a game. He told me today on Sept. 21 2022 that he discussed the situation with his supervisor and stated that his supervisor refuses to talk with me. However, I am not given the supervisor's name nor given the opportunity to speak with the supervisor to settle this issue. They know this irritates me and purposely do this. I tried to discuss the contract professionally and Tim refuses to discuss the contract and makes up lies. Then says you have a contract with *****, not us. Then says I have a contract with them and states they will come at me with a lawsuit. Tim is adamant that I pay this loan for a system I do not have even though the contract says otherwise.

Mr. **** has since been in contact with the credit union about getting his solar system connected for him since submitting this complaint. He is working with the correct supervisor within the credit union and should continue to work with him to resolve this matter.

I recently purchased a mortgage and within the mortgage was paying off some of my loans. The title company issued me a check to pay off a loan I have with Corning Credit Union so I sent the check out on 8/18/22. I thought I might have sent it to the wrong address so I called Corning Credit Union. The customer service rep said there was nothing in the system stating I sent the check to them so I called the title company to put a stop payment on the check but the title company informed me the check had been cashed. I called back to corning cu to let them and they said they would start an investigation. This was on 8/29/22. I called back to Corning Credit Union ask the status of the situation and continued to get it is under investigation. I did receive a copy of the cashed check from the title company that shows Corning Credit Union cashed the check on 8/22/22 but never applied it to my loan. I called back to Corning Credit Union letting them know I sent them a copy of the cashed check to which they said it would help speed up the investigation on why my account was never credited the money. This was on 9/9/22. I called again on 9/14/22 to ask about the status of the investigation with the same reply of it is continuing to be looked at. I cannot get ahold of anyone else besides customer service who keeps telling me its under investigation. Now my loan is behind in a payment because it has not been paid off.

Thank you for your correspondence dated September 22, 2022. I have reviewed the situation and discussed with employees involved.  The credit union has since applied the payoff, and ensured nothing will negatively impact the members credit. The credit union completed this as September 23, 2022. At this time, we consider this situation rectified. Should you have any questions, please call me directly at ***** ******** extension *****
