I won a gift card at a benefit early last year. This card is for $150 from Finger Lakes Landscaping Tree Removal, on June 8, 2022, the owner of the business Ray S******* and his father came to my house. I told them what I wanted cut, he said his big truck was too big to do the work I wanted done. One of them said they could cut the branches by getting in the back of a pick-up truck and using a pole saw to cut them, I said OK. He said he would fit me in his schedule when he was up my way. Over the summer I contacted him repeatedly he kept saying he would fit me in. December 15, I sent a message asking when he can do the work (I also posted this issue on my ******** account) because he stopped responding to my msg then he responded saying he did not WANT to cut the branches that way. He said he would exchange the gift card for money that is equal the balance if I sent him my info he would send out a check. I sent my address to him with a picture of the gift card. He replied saying that he would give me $150 cash if I delete my post on my personal page. I said I would delete my post after I received my reimbursement. He laughed at that. I am still waiting for resolution from him. I contacted him again on Dec 21, Dec 22 he responded saying he does not want to do business with me as I am slandering his business... said he will be in contact with me when he is available. I think 7 months is a little much ... either waiting for the work to be done and now he does not WANT to do the work but will not send the check or meet to pay me the equivalent value of the gift card. How long should I wait for the payment to happen??? Single woman who is trying to utilize the gift card he put out to be used.... I work in town in Corning and told him I could meet him sometime so he could pay personally and not worry about sending out a check... no response other than he will contact me when he is available...... please help me with this..
