Most of the time I go into Curry Toyota its only for an oil change & tire rotation because they usually say I have other issues with my car and charge too much money to fix it. I then have to take it to another mechanic and they will either tell me I dont have a problem with my car or charge me a lot less to fix it.This time I went in for my usual oil change and tire rotation and Curry Toyota told me that my car was leaking transmission fluid and wanted to charge me $538 to fix it. I took it to another mechanic who confirmed they over filled my transmission fluid which leaked all in my car plus oil and I had to pay $165 for them to clean up the mess. I spoke to the service manager at Curry Toyota *********************** who told me that my transmission reservoir was sealed so you cant put transmission fluid in it. I then called the other mechanic who confirmed that the information ************ told me was incorrect. ************ asked me to bring in the car, but at this point I am afraid for them to ever touch my car again and I would like to be reimbursed for their negligence.

To whom it may concern, the vehicle in question was brought to ** with an existing transmission oil leak which the customer admitted in his complaint, he refuses all work recommended and brings his vehicle to his own mechanic. There is photo evidence attached and the Repair order documenting the work our Certified Toyota Technician recommended upon complimentary inspection of clients vehicle. All recommendations were declined by the customer. Also declined were worn rear sway bar bushings and dirty engine and cabin air filters. Curry Toyota did not add any fluid to the Transmission system as we know this customer does not approve additional needed repairs and we had no prior approval from him to do so.. There is no transmission fluid billed on the work order as you can see from the attached Repair order. The customer was offered a complimentary second look at the vehicle with him present, he never showed up with the vehicle to discuss our findings and photo evidence of the existing oil leak. This vehicle is 2013 Toyota Rav4 with ******* miles.

    Better Business Bureau:

I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID# ********, and have determined that my complaint has NOT been resolved because:

[The business is not telling the truth about the matter. Ive shown documents that stated the leak came from overfilled transmission fluid by Curry Toyota. There was no leak prior to me bringing my car to Curry Toyota.

This complaint is unfounded as the owner of the vehicle was offered an estimate to fix what our Certified Toyota Tech noticed upon his Multi-Point Inspection, transmission fluid leaking. ************** was questioned regarding the transmission fluid leak, he stated in his response and notes on the repair order indicate he never added transmission fluid nor attempted any repairs because the customer had declined all recommendations after visual inspection of vehicle. see Repair Order attached with notes customer received. customer was not billed for transmission fluid because it was not added to the car. we have photos of the recommendation declined

    [Your Answer Here]

Because the document attached from Mohegan Auto states that the transmission fluid was overfilled. Curry Toyota was the only business prior to Mohegan Auto that worked on my car. Hopefully Curry Toyota attached the document that stated they were going to charge me over $700 to find the leak. Where Mohegan Auto charged me $160 to clean up the lleak they caused.
