    Typical shady contractor. Barry Cummins will promise to keep the price the same as the estimate and then as soon as the contract is signed and construction begins he will tell you hvac is $5k more because of this subcontractor and he doesn’t do siding or exterior stairs or railings. Roofing is extra and the business he gets materials from will start calling you saying he won’t pay and is charging the materials to you the homeowner when the bank has already written him a check for everything, materials and labor. He constantly says he needs more money even though you e stuck to the original agreed upon blue prints or even shrink the project to save money but somehow him and is contractors say they need more money. Eventually he just walks off the project and you’ll have to hire different contractors to finish the house build and work with inspectors yourself. After all this, he will send you a bill for $30k that the bank wouldn’t pay him because it’s work he didn’t do or finish so he tries to bill you more. On top of the fact that he already scammed you out of $50k in materials and labor. Save yourself the headache and just go with the more expensive contractor who will actually do what he says and it will actually be cheaper in the long run after you have to hire a lawyer to get Barry to stop sending illegal charging. It’s impossible to go after him for reimbursing because he covers expenses with other project builds that all get intermingled. Worst contractor ever. There are good contractors out there but don’t bite on Barry’s cheap bid.
