We are seeking the help of the Better Business Bureau to help facilitated a reasonable resolution with Ideal Construction and Landscaping (*** ******* *** ****) **** ******* ***** **** ***** ********** ** ***** ***** ******** We signed a contract on 10/21/21 with a deposit of $17,000. For a home remold with demo, etc.
Total was $59,100., Work began on 4/4/2022, Second installment was paid on 4/8/2022 $19,000.
Final payment due at the completion of work.
Requested final payment 9/23/2022 for 23,100.
We have in good faith attempted to resolve outstanding issues with ICL. We have lost faith in the commitment or ability to complete and rectify the outstanding problems. ICL was given the opportunity to fix and repair during the past five months. Work was not performed to the standards they promised. We have been reasonable and accommodating, With a lockbox on our home, they had complete access for 4 and half months with no restrictions.
In our final meeting we were given a bill for our last installment payment. We took issue with it as we will have to hire another contractor to fix everything. They offered $3,000 off and we could not agree to that as we believe it will cost much more than that for repairs and replacements. We suggested either have a non-bias 3rd party evaluate the work to eliminate any “client being picky” or have an arbitrator help resolve it. Or we could get estimates done. We were then offered $6,000 off. We could not agree to this. They decided to end the discussion. The work is considerable that needs to be done. We are not at a point without estimates and professional evaluation as to what needs to be done or cost. I’m able to supply phots, emails and texts, video, and contract if needed. Need to access a scanner to scan and upload, however we were eager to get the process going. Its has also come to our attention that the final Electrical inspection has not been completed. We are eager to settle this, and all parties can move forward.
