    My husband purchased a gift certificate for a total of $75 for services as a gift to me. When I went to redeem the gift certificate I was told it would not be honored as they did not issue it - ownership change. There was no notice that the gift certificate was to be null and void upon ownership transfer PRIOR to the sale of the business.
    Day I wanted to redeem I was given a 10% discount for services because of the issue. Only total savings of $9 while we are out $66.
    This is ridiculous as the money was essentially stolen from my husband!
    I would like the $66 refunded!

    As others have stated a gift card was purchased for me December 2022. When I went to use it on June 12 I was told that it is now a different business and no longer the same ownership. Out $100. The previous owner should be found and held responsible for theft. That’s was they did is steal people’s money.

    Purchased gift certificates as a gift for Christmas and now the location will not honor the gift certificate. Instead of a $50 value, their idea of a resolution is 15% off.

    I purchased 2 giftcards from this business in December 2022 for Christmas gifts, both for $75. When the people receiving went to redeem this past week, they were told that the gift certificates were not valid. They were being used for a pedicure service. They were told that even though the business name is the same, ownership changed hands on January 1, 2023. This is highway robbery as this gift certificate was purchased within 2 weeks of years end. The gift certificate was valid on all terms when it went to be redeemed. I am requesting a full refund, and a complaint to be filed against this owner. I have attached a copy of one of the gift certificates and a screen shot of my ***** transaction of $150.

    Called business and spoke to new owner and this was relayed: The previous owner was evicted due to non payment of rent.  He sold gift certificates and consumers that have nothing to do with my business.  I rented this space with the same name on the building but it is not the same company in which the previous person operated.  I did not sale those certificated to the consumers, however, I was offering them a 15% discount on the service.  I will be changing the name due to this issue.  I have advised consumers to contact the BBB and the landlord of this building regarding their issues.

    Better Business Bureau: 

    I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID ********, and have determined that this does not resolve my complaint.  For your reference, details of the offer I reviewed appear below. When the receiver of these giftcards were not offered the 15% when they were denied use of these giftcards.  I believe this is still the responsibility of the business owner as the name of the business was the same, and the consumer was not notified in any way, and there was no signage entrance or checkout location.  I spent $150 on giftcards, and am asking for $75 refund (50%).
