April 30th 2025 . Company 1800 Got Junk in Illinois came out to take 1 television as advertised should have been 89 dollars. They charged my nephew 369.00 to remove television when I was not home to question. Would not have agreed to this increase and he felt obligated to pay under false pretenses made by the company. Please help adjust this inflated price paid. Attached the email. Talked to someone prior whi confirmed it would be 89.00 if the crew could move which they did.

I was told that at my request, Got Junk would donate my items that were fit for donation. We had well over 1,000 items. I was told I would receive the charitable donation tax credit receipt for my records. The truck came, the drivers didn't know, but "donation" was in the notes on my paperwork. I called the company, they said they do not provide the tax credit to me, or transfer it to me from those places they donate. I said charitable entities must issue this to donors, so either I was entitled to a record of my donation, or Got Junk would receive it, but that they must issue this document. They refused to help, explain, or work with me to resolve this. I am now left to tell the IRS about my perceived donation value, and hope for the best. This is false advertising at best, fraud at worst, and this should be explained on the website and by sales people.

I had this company visit my house for a cleanup job. A team member visited, and helped set up a cleanup date. They encouraged me to rent a ***** truck to assist them, since it was a difficult job. They canceled the job twice, and have refused a request for a refund on my ***** rental cost. The first time was canceled due to lack of labor available. The second time, the team manager, William, visited the house for the first time and stated they wouldn't do it. It was a mistake for the company to accept my job without a manager seeing it, and a mistake to ask me to rent a ***** for assistance. They have failed to offer even an apology or admission of a mistake. I have followed up with calls and texts, which have gone largely ignored or dismissed. After filing a complaint through customer service at 1-800-GOT-JUNK, I had a conversation with the local manager in Albany, Kyle. on 5/17 and then another with the regional manager on 5/18. I expressed my concerns and laid out the timeline. Once again, there were multiple mistakes made by the 1-800-GOT-JUNK team, led by William, but both distanced themselves from the incident by saying the company had been sold in recent months. -A team member visited by house and saw the junk site, then confirmed the job could be done -My cleanup was canceled twice by 1-800-GOT-JUNK, once for sick employees -William confirmed the second appointment without seeing the site. Then he arrived for the second appointment and canceled, saying it could not be done. -He encouraged me to rent a ***** pickup truck to assist with the cleanup. I rented it twice - and both days my appointment was cancelled. -William then avoided my repeated texts and calls for weeks -After speaking to franchise manager Kyle and a regional manager, no fault was admitted by either. Neither offered a remedy or solution to our disagreement. -I have not heard from anyone at 1-800-GOT-JUNK since 5/18. They have also not responded to follow up emails.
