      On March 30, 2024 I wrote a check for $1,134.00 (for entire season) to Premier Outdoor Services (Good Guy's Landscaping) to pay for seasonal lawn services. As can be seen in the attached, the check was cashed on April 4, 2024. At the start of June 2024, my house was getting a new air conditioner installed and I did not want lawn service to take place on that day so I called and left a message and sent an e-mail. (See start of e-mail exchange attachment.) Not hearing anything from Joe Hathaway, I sent a follow up e-mail after the new air conditioner was installed and got back the notification that Premier was ending their service at the end of June. I expected to get at least a prorated refund but after making several phone calls over many months, I have gotten nothing in reply from Premier Outdoor Services. I should add that the lawn service they did provide was not every week and was poorly done. So much so that my neighbors were concerned that they were getting a home improvement loan for their house and did not want the appraiser to provide a lesser amount. (These neighbors are the ones that had used Premier and recommended them to me!) So, I request that the BBB contact them to see if a fair settlement can be found with the considerations that the service provided was not up to standard and no service was provided starting on July 1st and I had to find another lawn service and paid them.

      We heard about Joe through our daughter and son in law as his kids played sports with my grandchildren. Another neighbor had him and spoke highly about him. He was to do sprin clean up and cut the lawn once a week. Spring clean up we told him come in march we don’t have the tree twirly birds to continue with. Never came , called again didn’t come until may which I wanted the cleanup done before then. Grass cutting. Was supposed to come once a week. Had to call. Joe where are u. Another call . Please answer my Tex. Two week later did the lawn. The next time 3 weeks later. This was all summer long with him coming e we 3 weeks , not answering Tex. We paid him $1,000 up front because we trusted him but I feel he used us . We had to get our grandchildren to cut in between and paid them . We are retired people with a limited income and I feel Joe took advantage our our age and kindness.
