      Comande mason group built us an in ground pool but never filed for the permits. They submitted the application but never followed through and now wont return emails or calls. I need the permit for my insurance.

      We had a pool renovation with paver patio deck done by Comande Mason Corp in May&June of 2022. We had several issues throughout the project, some of which have been resolved. Once the pool liner was installed we instantly noticed many chunks of gravel and what feels to be broken concrete coming up from under the liner. Its very uncomfortable on the feet and over the summer two of our guests complained that they were hurt from this. ***************************** asked if I would get in the pool with his pool ********************** to show him. ******* was surprised about the issues and agreed they need to be fixed. *** said he would come back around Labor Day to remove the liner, re-surface the bottom, and put the liner back before we close the pool. I called to remind him about a month ago where he still agreed to come. Now its 9/19 and he hasnt responded to my many calls and messages left on his cell and business line. We spent over $40,000 cash for this job and are very dissatisfied and frustrated. There are also issues with the pool ladder installation. It is mounted into the ground about 3 inches too far in towards the pool where the rubber stoppers in the water do not touch the side of the pool as they should. In addition, one side of the patio was laid up against an old wooden fence which needs replacement. In doing this, a whole side of the patio is extremely crooked and out of square. We would like this fixed as well.

      In response to *************************, please note that our Contract called for 85 s.f. of Liberty *******************, 6 wall system. The location was reviewed and approved after completion.  **************** wanted it moved, and I moved it and my cost was $1,600.00 in labor and **************** did not pay to move wall to his new location.  Contract calls for pool coping 6" x 12" bullnose on ledgestone cap 12"x24".  *** ***** ***************** approved the 12"x24" cap after it was installed and for 4 working days **************** telling me how much they loved it to me and my employees.  He then wanted it removed because his friend said the coping had a sharp edge on the bottom that he didn't want and wanted it replaced with the 6"x12" bullnose.  The coping was completed and approximately ***** sq. feet of pool deck completed around the pool.  I called the Cambridge Sales Representative who could not find any fault with the coping or paving.  The coping was removed and 6"x12" bullnose installed in its place.  We had to remove the coping and two (2) feet of pavers around the pool to make this second change that **************** wanted.  My cost for these 6 days x 3 men at 144 hours @ $95/hr. = $13,680.00 ************** and dumping fees of $1,696.00, a total cost of $15,376.00.  He did not pay for this either, even though he said he would.  The Contract called for one (1) step ladder we installed two (2) which he did not pay for the second step ladder, my cost Seven Hundred and Fifty Dollars ($750.00).

      My Contract called for ***** sq. feet of concrete pavers and we installed ***** sq. feet, (90) sq. feet extra cost ($1,530.00).  We did not get paid for that either.  My Contract called for new plumbing at new steps only, but we pressure tested the old lines at ******************** request because **************** did not want to pay for new plumbing lines, my cost ($375.00).  We advised **************** to replace the 10" light but he did not want that done.  The light was old and leaking and we had to fix that, my cost $165.00.  He did not pay for it either.  I had my service tech go back and forth to find the leak at the light, service cost $250.00.  He did not pay for that either.  The fence and pool are not parallel to each, which again my advice was to install a planter in between them so that there was water drainage and visually not noticeable that pool, patio and house were not square and parralell to each other and again **************** did not take my advice.

      The pool bottom installed is a hard bottom, not a sand bottom.  This **************** wanted because he did not want to see fooiprints which is common for a soft bottom pool.  I would like **************** to pay me for these changes and extras which total to $20,046.00.  Also please note, payments were by checks for the Contract, not Cash and have copies of all payments.

      There are many false statements in the response I received from Comande Mason Corp. I have addressed each topic (highlighted in red) in the attached document. In addition, i have also included a copy of the original contract as well as photos of the issues that we have experienced and continue to have with the work that was done at our property.
