      I dropped my car off to be repaired and my car was stolen and smashed. I've been told by the owner that he does not have insurance to cover the damage. This repair shop was recommended by my insurance company, *** ****** Insurance out of Cooperstown, NY. Any help would be appreciated. Thank you, ****** *****

      BBB spoke to Joe and the following was relayed:

      The customer's vehicle was here for repair from a deer accident. There was a break in and they took the customer's car and crashed it. I offered to pay for everything and repair any related damage which the customer agreed to. The repairs were done and the customer picked up her vehicle on a Saturday. The following Monday the customer called stating the ABS light was on. I told her to bring the vehicle in for me to look at. She brought it to a dealer instead and stated that the dealer found a lot more issues. I got a copy of the dealership invoice and most of the issues were unrelated to the accident and conditions that were pre-existing. The speed sensor was something that could have been related to the accident so I offered to cover that. The customer did not return or let me know about the speed sensor repair after that. Anything that was related to the deer accident was covered by her insurance and everything related to the break in and accident was covered by myself, including: Wheel/tire, front fender, replaced molding, repaired both doors on right side, and replaced spindle and ball joint on right side.

      Better Business Bureau:

      I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID ********, and have determined that this does not resolve my complaint. I have attached the work details that have been done to my car since I picked it up from Joe's shop.  I still have the Check engine light on along with the ABS light and the traction control lights.  I am currently waiting for another part to come in.  When I dropped my car off after hitting the deer there were no lights on and it was not leaking any fluids.  Once I picked it up from the shop after it was not properly repaired all three of these lights were on and I did let Joe know and he told me to take it to another garage because he could not fix it and he would pay out of pocket because he did not have insurance to cover this kind of claim.  Please let me know if you need any more information.  Thank you,
