      I am not a policy holder but a victim of their subrogation tactics. I was stalked, threatened, accused and demeaned by NYCM employees and their opportunistic lawyers ********* *** ****. I was forced to pay a portion of a false claim. An act of nature loss.

      I have been a paying customer with this company for many years.I am 73 years old and on a fixed income. Over the years this company has paid any claims I have incurred and I sincerely appreciate that. Now however my monthly premium has been raised to $288 month! So do I eat or pay my car insurance? Worked very hard all my life and I'm having a hard time paying this much money for a 2021 *******. Who looks out for this old guy? I have reached out to them with no reduction in my premium. I'm just another policy number?Help!

      I'm a PA and dealing with many insurance companies on a daily bases, what I can tell you from my best 10 years of experience, NYCM is the worse home owners insurance company, the most difficult to deal with them , the smallest payouts, the worse adjusters. They are by far the worse company, it's even better not to have insurance at all then to use them. I have , and if you want to use me as your PA , if you have NYCM I'm not gonna accept you. I never had a happy customer. With a NYCM policy.

      I am a Florida resident and when I applied for auto insurance notified them as such.
      I just received a cancellation notice because I am not a New York resident.
      Why would they accept my application?
      The representative does not return calls and here I am with NO INSURANCE!!!!
      Not sure why you don't have "0" Stars as a Rating.........

      Contact the Buffalo FBI, NYCM is defrauding their policyholders when they refuse to meet contractual obligations,underpay, refuse to pay claims that they are contractually obligated to pay, keeping premiums, keeping deductibles, failing to conduct due diligence and proper investigations, making false statements, falsifying documentation. Their lawyer made false statements to the police and is being reported to the attorney grievance committee. The FBI eagerly took my call and their CEO info, I explained the letter I sent to their CEO however their CEO never bothered to respond, I explained the false statements their lawyer and adjuster supervisor made to local police and I was able to prove it, I explained how NYCM is defrauding elderly on fixed incomes and minorities who are poverty stricken. NYCM took 100% liability for their drunk driver that caused extensive injuries however they are purposely retaliating and committing fraud, refusing to send proper documentation to the bank for GAP insurance payment. Two additional car payments have come out of the elderly 80 year old victims account and NYCM is purposely neglecting to send proper documentation. The DOJ and NY attorney general are also being made aware.

      I was told I would get my refund...I'm tired of these people with their nasty attitudes...that was my rent money that they took after I already made a payment...I'm tired of these people talking down to me and I'm going to cancel my policy and go somewhere else

      Unfortunately I’ve had 2 separate basement floods (about a year apart from each other) because my neighbor has been negligent of his property for the past 4 years. When I called NYCM they told me none of this was covered.
      Most recently, I receive a letter in the mail saying that they are NOT renewing our policy because of said floods. The biggest issues with NYCM is 1) they didn’t even pay out ANYTHING for either floods. 2) Neither flood was my family’s faults and yet we are being penalized for it. So it is very frustrating.
      Additionally, later on I found out from an insurance adjuster that both floods could have definitely been covered by my insurance. We could’ve gone after them. This insurance company is greedy and really isn’t out to help their clients, just to collect money.

      On January 16th, 2024, a driver insured by NYCM collided with our property, resulting in significant damage to our yard and mailbox. We promptly filed a claim on the same day of the incident. However, nearly two months later, we are still awaiting reimbursement for the relatively minor damages we reported. This delay persists despite our repeated efforts to follow up on the matter.

      Truly the worst experience I’ve ever had with someone else’s insurance. The amount of money they have made me shell out because of THEIR policy holder hitting ME & being 100% at fault. AWFUL customer service. Down right awful. Their wait times are an hour plus right now to get through for even basic help. That’s not an exaggeration. Can’t ever get a hold of anyone. If you “leave a message for a call back” you’re going to have to hound them down when they don’t call you back ever.
      The “examiner” assigned to me took her phone off the hook at 3pm on a Monday. I never got a call back on Friday when I initially called.
      From 3-5pm, it said she had “stepped away or was working with another client” for two hours???? Insane service. Horrible insurance company to even work with from the other side. Would never suggest them to anyone & I never want to have to work with them again. Truly. It was a nightmare plus.
      By the way— I’ve been dealing with them for nearly five months over an accident that happened in November. FULLY their policy holders fault. I wasn’t even moving. Including not having a car to get to necessity things such as work, groceries, etc. They don’t give a crap about service or how they’re inconveniencing other peoples’ lives. I live in the country. I NEED my car & I need a reliable rental that I don’t have to pay out of my own pocket to have. Which they are trying to charge me out of pocket since I live in upstate NY & everyone has been backed up. That’s not my fault. At all. Just like it isn’t my fault your policy holder hit me. So I shouldn’t pay out of pocket for something YOUR policy holder did. If they’re such an issue to you, maybe you should drop them instead of making other people deal with them.
      Thanks for literally the worst service I’ve EVER experienced with any form of a company. It’s terrible. Should be negative one star.
