    DO NOT GO INTO BUSINESS WITH ***** ******* & C&D Contracting because they are not approved to do work according to code standards, and he will steal your money. We purchased a 20 unit apartment building in NY and worked with ***** to get estimates to perform a roof renovation, electrical/gas submettering, and building a storage unit. ***** did not receive any approvals from the city code department before begining the work. When code was notified that he was forming the work they shutdown the roofing repair project. We paid ***** $18000 in total to peform the work. $9,000 to begin the project and another $9,000 to continue. The same day I sent him the 2nd $9,000 payment is when the city code department shut down the roofing project and ***** refused to return our $9,000. At this moment my roof project is not completed and he stole the $9000 and has not responded to my numberous attempts to contact him. He did not tell us that he was not approved by code to perform any work and he misled us. If we had known that he wasn't approved, we would not have paid him $18,000. This has place a significant strain on our project.

    Back in Sept of 2021, we hired David to take care of a water/mold issue we had in our son's bedroom closet. For that particular job, we did not have any issues. David was polite, respectful and on time. Therefore, we did not see an issue to have him finish the job for us. So, on Sept 14th, 2021 we signed another contract to have David complete my son's closet, which basically was to put dry wall back up - but we also wanted him to take a look at an issue we were having in our garage. He was willing to take on both jobs. We gave him $500 as a down payment. As of August 16th, 2022 that contract has not been fulfilled. My husband has contacted David numerous times, each time we were given an excuse of why he couldn't make it - such as material shortage, employee shortage, too busy, bad weather and at one point he told us he had been in the hospital. We were given time frames of when he would be able to come over but, weeks pass and he or one of his guys never show. At this point, my husband and I are frustrated and would just like to have our $500 back. We hope this can resolved quickly and without any issues. Thank you!
