    I had went to Very Nice Smile Dental in ********, ** and before I went to their office I had asked the receptionist if they take my insurance. The receptionist told me to just bring my insurance card and she will try to see if they take my insurance. The day that I went in I showed her my card and she said she will try to figure out how to get the insurance to cover my work. She said that today's visit is complementary but that they have to do **rays because I hadn't been to a dentist for more than a year. So because they still hadn't used the insurance they had me pay $130 for them out of pocket. After the **rays the dentist took a look at them and told me what would need to be done. They told me they would calculate everything and on my next visit they would be able to tell me how much everything would cost. After that the receptionist spoke to me and told me she doesn't see what coverage I have on my insurance card. She said she will try to call my insurance and find out. So when I went home that day I decided I will try and help her to find out what dental insurance comes with my United *************** plan. Later on I found out it was Optum health. My insurance told me that the dentist office will know how to file a claim with them. I went back to them the receptionist told me she doesn't know how to file a claim. She said most of her patient's would just pay out of pocket and than ask the insurance to reimburse them. So I had called my insurance and they told me there is a website for providers to use to file claims for dental work. In the end she told me that they don't take my insurance and if I wanted to come here for my dental needs I would need to pay out of pocket for everything. She had also told me that even if they took my insurance they wouldn't cover my bridge. What upsets me is that they wasted my time and took advantage of me. They tricked me and wasted my time and probably made things worse for my health I have periodontal disease.
