  I had a nightmare experience with my recent move, and I want to share the details to warn others.
  Mishandling of Fragile Items:
  Boxes marked 'fragile' were placed at the bottom of the piles, leading to significant damage. I discovered broken items hidden in a closet behind the piles of boxes, strategically placed so I wouldn’t find them until it was too late to file a claim.
  Manipulative Paperwork:
  On the morning of the move, after half of my belongings were already loaded into their truck, I was handed pages and pages of fine print to sign. This felt incredibly manipulative and left me with no choice but to comply.
  Lack of Communication:
  The company could never provide a clear delivery date for my belongings. Despite polite daily phone calls for weeks, we received no definite answers. Even after their truck delivered some items, their dispatch claimed they didn't know when the rest would arrive.
  Overall Experience:
  This move was marked by poor handling of my items, deceitful practices with paperwork, and a complete lack of transparency and communication. I urge anyone considering this company to think twice and consider my experience as a cautionary tale.

  I went with International Van Lines for my move from Canada to the US due to THEIR good reviews, however, they contracted out to these guys without telling me. From the moment the movers got there, they would disappear doing who knows what, leaving my stuff in the back of their truck unattended for anyone to come by and take. Then I went down to find them only to find that ALL 3 of them were IN the back of the truck next to my family's things smoking, when we have a non-smoking home.
  Within a couple HOURS of them departing, I started getting incessant calls, messages, and emails from their billing department insisting on being paid in full immediately. Only they don't offer any kind of modern payment options, which would have been instantaneous. They only do wires that take days, which they charge extra for on top of the bank's fees or some kind of weird bank transfer thing that my bank didn't know about. The messages and calls became increasingly threatening, including that they were going to start charging me $250/day for every day I hadn't yet paid. And that they were going to take my things off the truck and charge me another $1500 to do that and reload it.
  I dropped my car off at my destination, and was only there in a hotel for 2 days as my new home wasn't ready yet before taking my two small children for a long pre-planned vacation. I had been clear with them from the beginning that the date of delivery was set. The dispatcher called me before I left Canada and all he said to me was "oh right you wanted this date" and then hung up. He NEVER told me that my stuff was already EN ROUTE and that they would be removing my stuff from the truck and putting it on another truck to match my date and that this would cost another $1000 USD before they would cross the border. Because if he had, they actually would have been there at the same time I was there for those 2 days, and I could have easily made arrangements to accept it.

  Dishonest and up charge. Stated they will be the ones doing the move not a contractor. Who arrives a contractor with no form of identification. You need to pay in cash or Zelle. Feels sketchy at best. Truly misrepresented themselves and they did not do a virtual quote which would have been more accurate vs almost 1k in additional charges. It was a completely untrue when they stated they would be completing the move. I am very disappointed and 5 plus lighter in the pocket.

  My initial conversation with ******, the sales rep, was based on their own website advice: - ****** assured me they would not contract out; the entire move would be handled by *** only. FALSE.- ****** assured me that our items would not be stored or moved from the initial truck. FALSE.- On the day of move, a moving company, ****** *****, showed up. Said they were an affiliate of ***. It was not International Van Lines as promised. We contacted *** and they confirmed this but again, it was not *** as promised.- For drop off at our new home, we got a call from a moving company, ****** Trucking LLC. We'd never heard of them. They told us us to make out a cashier's check for final balance ($4000+) to them. Our instructions were to make the check out to ***. This man had never heard of them and was not going to deliver without a cashier's check made out to his company.- The *** team was entirely unresponsive when we contacted them by phone and email to help us resolve the issue; we had to resolve on our own with ******. - Moving company showed up at 9:15 pm. The team consisted of exactly two men (the packing team was a team 4). My husband and I helped them unload and worked just as hard as they did for the low cost of $4,000+ dollars (as the final balance due).- They were only going to leave the boxes in one area and not disperse in the house nor were they going to assemble the furniture the original team disassembled for moving. My husband and I had to haul boxes into the house.- *** was not forthright in providing the details we needed, such as the name of EACH moving company that would be handling our things and they were deceptive.- *** became unresponsive when we needed their help and we haven't heard from them since.- DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY despite the positive reviews you may read. Our move was super expensive and they do not deserve a ***** of it.
