    On Saturday, June 8, 2024 around 10:30 am, I purchased a beach umbrella for $12.99. The total with tax $14.14. I went to the beach that afternoon with my family. When I set the umbrella up. It broke!! On Tuesday, June 11th around 11:50 am. I went back to the store to make an exchange. The same woman that was in the register on Saturday was there today as well. With receipt in my hand. I explained to her that I purchased the umbrella on Saturday and when setting it up it broke and fell over in the sand and that I would like to exchange it. She tells me: theres sand in here. You used it. I tell her again that it broke and my family as well as myself could not use it and that Im aware that I cannot get money refunded, Id like to exchange it. She tells me again: but you used it and today is Tuesday. I mentioned to her that the receipt states exchanges within 7 days. She told me to come back in Thursday to speak with her boss and says again you used it. All I want is to do is exchange the umbrella with one that will not break as soon as I set it up. Not argue with someone who tries to contradict the truth

    The exchange policy is good for 7 days for unused items with original packaging. Used items are not eligible for exchange. Manufacturer has limited warranty for items as indicated on product labels. We will recommend customers to seek manufacturer warranty if when product is not inline with expectations after usage.

    In this case, the clerk was not in a position to provide the exchange during customer's initial visit due to the item being used, and advise to come back Thursday when store manager is present. When the customer return on Thursday 6/13/2024, the manager allowed the exchange for said customer as courtesy. I've attached the register audit receipt as reference.

    Since the item exchange for the said customer occurred on 6/13/24, we've noted this complaint as settled.
