I recently took my truck to Brake Service, **** for maintenance, even though there were no apparent issues before. The dealer who sold me the truck did not mention any necessary repairs regarding the transmission. However, we found a small leak coming from the rear tail end seal that connects from the rear tail end to the drive shaft. We have video footage of driving the truck from ************ to the city without any problems. We fixed the seal and it also needed a new tail-end gasket. We towed the truck to the shop because there was still work to be done after the seal was replaced. The shop fixed the brakes, suspensions, and a faulty fuel injector. However, the transmission stopped working while at Brake Service, **** I later found out that they had cracked the rear-end transmission cover while trying to replace the gasket and lied about it. We have video footage of them admitting to starting the truck without the tail end and rear transmission cover being fully connected to the transmission, causing transmission fluid to spill everywhere. This possibly caused physical damage to the internal transmission. We informed the mechanic that the rear transmission cover and the drive shaft weren't fully connected before dropping it off. After picking up the truck, the check transmission light appeared. The truck came in with a check engine light due to the faulty fuel injector but left with a check transmission light. The current shop servicing my truck found metal filings in the transmission oil and other issues. They recommended replacing the entire transmission to fix the issue.
