    Hired Dave P****** from blueline handyman services on march 4. 2024 for bathroom remodel. We agreed on price of $3,800.00. He Saud he couldn't start until Monday, march 11th 2024. He did not show. I didn't see him until march 22, 2024. He demoed the tub and shower, said he needed $2,000. To get materials do put in new shower, 2 walls and flooring. I gavevDave cash but I didn't get a receipt or ant work agreement contract. He came again on Tues March 26, 2024. We talked about tge wall material he got. I changed my mind. I wanted something different. He said he would return the material and order vinyl walling at home depot in Olean. He then asked me for another $500. I said no because my I'm on social security and told him he already had my $2,000 and I have nothing to show for it. He left my house. The next time I heard from Dave was a text, which I still have, saying he didn't want to work with me. That was Friday. April 2, 2024. That's the last I heard from him. I called his cell no. To no avail.

    BBB spoke to the owner of the business and the following was relayed: This customer changed her mind after 4 work days and 4 work days worth of materials.  The amount that she paid equates to the materials, travel, and labor/time that I put in on this project, including times when materials and laborers were loaded and on our way to her house, which is over an hour away from me, and she cancelled at last minute.  I will provide BBB with the paperwork to support.  Therefore, no refund is being offered.  Thanks.
