      IF YOU BUY A NEW PHONE AND WANT TO CHANGE YOUR PHONE# ON THE SITE, YOU MUST RECEIVE A CODE ON YOUR OLD PHONE#. OF COURSE, YOU DON'T HAVE YOUR OLD PHONE ANYMORE BECAUSE YOU HAVE A NEW PHONE. OR YOU MAY HAVE JUST CHANGED YOUR NUMBER BECAUSE OF SCAM CALLS. EITHER WAY TO CHANGE YOUR PHONE#, YOU MUST STILL HAVE YOUR OLD PHONE WHICH DOESN'T HAPPEN. IT'S A CATCH 22 SITUATION. IF I HAVE MY OLD PHONE, I DON'T NEED TO CHANGE MY PHONE NUMBER.IF I GET A NEW PHONE, I DON'T KEEP MY OLD PHONE. SO I CAN'T GET A CODE ON IT.SIMPLE.I GET AUTOMATED RESPONSE REPLIES TO MY E-MAILS. SO NOW I CHANGED IT IN PERSON AT THE OFFICE. I SAW THE AGENT CHANGE IT. IT HASN'T CHANGED YET ON THE INTERNET SITE. CALLED HE SAID THE BACK OFFICE WAS BACKED UP WITH THINGS TO CHANGE.I'M BEGINNING TO THINK THERE IS NO BACK OFFICE. IT'S YELLOW BRICK ROAD TIME.

      I inherited an IRA which was held at Trustco Bank. I've held the account for over a year, and I've never received a statement from them. There is no way to manage the account through their on-line portal which allows me to see the balance, but not to view statements, transfer funds, or do any other action relating to the account. Every time I call for assistance they tell me to come in to a branch. The person I inherited from lived in their service area, coming to a branch requires a plane ride for me. I want to transfer the funds to another institution which will actually allow me to manage my own money, and I've been told that I need to submit a statement from the existing account to complete the transfer. I've called to request a statement and been sent an accounting of what is in my account which isn't even on bank letterhead, and this document is not being accepted by the other institutions. At this point, my money is being held hostage by TrustCo bank. It seems my only recourse is going to be to close the account and take the tax hit for early withdrawal, which should be criminal.

      Worst bank to do business with trustco in the Mohawk commons area it’s always issues with the cards and the company always have problems with transactions and I’ve had multiple issues with using my card they then close my account with no actual reason and no one seem to can explain to me why my account was close they then proceeded to charge me to cash a trustco check that was issued by trustco itself it’s a total rip off I DO NOT RECOMMEND DOING BUSINESS WITH TRUSTCO AT ALL

      Very Horrible. I Know it's The Bank Taking Our Money. Because Last Time we got our Refund back From *****. I'm sick and tired of getting the Run Around. I think I'm Going to Take Our Banking Elsewhere. I have Never been in the Negative Before. It's just not Gerling St. It's even on the Phone too there Horrible too.

      Trustco bank on gerling st in Schenectady is outrageous can’t get any help or assistance from the branch at all they sit on the phone and lie to you truly unprofessional and unethical conduct from a federally insured bank

      Fraud on card (150$), called to cancel my card and start dispute. Next day two more fraud charges of 400$. When I called they told me they forgot to cancel my card! So it was their fault the second round of scams happened and didn’t offer any resolution for up to 30+ days. Awful! This is not the first time having issues with this bank!

      DONT TRUST THIS BANK as of May 1st 2023.
      They lied to me and are Anti-Semitic. The previous manager Anthony was okay but he left and the new Manager Rosa did not pay a payment they normally would pay when Anthony was there which is causing me a lot of problems now.
      Rosa the new manager said even though I had a bank account with them since February 2021 she does not have to pay it even though Anthony always approved it since February 2021.
      Rosa even had the nerve to lie to me and said many times the bank DID not pay it when actually the bank did!
      I also just spent about $170.00 in groceries now sitting in my hot car with temperature in my car reached like 139 degrees or higher and I told Rosa all my food is going to go bad if you do not quickly solve this and help me if I do not leave very soon. ROSA INSTEAD CHOICE TO HELP ANOTHER CUSTOMER FOR ABOUT 24 MINUTES AND IGNORING ME WHILE MY FOOD WAS NOW SPOILING IN MY CAR!
      I can not see any legitimate excuse for her bad behavior towards me in so many ways. Even after I gave her alot more money in cash she did not agree to make that payment for me. I am sure she is Anti-Semitic towards me by all the unnecessary bad things she has done to me without any logical explanation.
      Even a dispute I had by debit card they said they will not give my money back even though it was a fraudulent transaction without providing this bank a receipt. I do not have a receipt because it was a fraudulent charge by a dishonest business that gave me nothing!
      Now Waiting for their corporate office to get back to me. Hopefully it will all get resolved in my favor.
      After several days have gone by, Corporate has not got back to me so it looks like corporate supports the Anti-Semitic treatment I experienced at this bank and if not corrected soon I will be contacting the Anti-Defamation League about this!

      Trustco bank told me I would get a mortgage at 1719.00 closing fees, lower than anyone around. They ran my credit and then when they gave me a breakdown of the fees it was over 7000.00. They promised me the sun, moon and stars, then denied my loan for 1 delinquent payment in 2016. The loan officer then tried to convince me to buy land and they would give me a construction loan to purchase a modular home from a contact they had. Not sure why they gave the run around maybe to create business for the modular home company. Either way I walked away fully approved for more than I asked for at ***** and the closing costs are less now with them.
