On February 10, 2022 (date on credit card statement) I paid $360 for 12 session with Pilates Instructor Verol. After two class sessions, it was apparent to both me and the instructor that I was not able to keep up the rest of the class due to my medical condition Diastasis Recti. I reached out to him to schedule one on one sessions instead which would be applicable against my remaining 10 unused sessions. After several repeated attempts to use the remaining 10 sessions towards personal 1:1 training, I received no response. I still did not want to ask for a refund because I was hoping to finish the remaining session. A few months ago there were allegations of misconduct with said instructor with another client. I still didnt want to ask for a refund right away, because I wanted to ask during a calmer moment for the said instructor. I waited until recently to ask for a refund for the remaining sessions (e.g, 10) in the amount of $300. I will note that I originally thought I had eight sessions left by accident but upon reviewing my bank statement and punch card, I see I actually have ten left. I texted the instructor and asked for a refund and mentioned I wanted to resolve the matter amicably but he does not want to. I made my good faith efforts to book the remaining sessions and resolving amicably but I have been shut down. I do not feel comfortable going there anymore and do not understand why he should get to keep $300 if services have not been rendered and he has not used his time to render any additional services. He is not out of pocket for time or money, but I lose $300. I am only asking for a refund for $300 which is the amount for unused sessions.
