    I have a lifetime warranty for siding that was installed in 2007. The flashing has been coming off since installation, I’ve had flashing off and coming off for a year. It took me 6 months to get them to fix it. They charged me 3900 for labor per the contract. They replaced the missing and damaged flashing but the color is different than the original flashing. They will only replace the flashing that is off color if I pay them. I did not sign any agreement for this last repair and they did not alert me upfront that there would be an issue with coloration. I would like them to replace the off color flashing for the 3900 I already. Paid.

    They advised the consumer that they could not get the same color that was on their house over 15 yrs ago.  The cons. did not want it done at first, then came back later and wanted it done knowing this.

    I have been in contact with Residential specialist since August 2018 regarding windows leaking and the the back door not being sealed correctly. The company had ordered a new door to replace the one that was originally placed in my home. I was advised that it could take 6 months to get the door. The cost of the windows and doors was over $8,500 which is paid in full with a warrenty. I am emails that have gone back and forth between myself and the company setting up appointments for Dan a worker to come out with permission of his boss Mike to take a look at the mold that is eating away at the front wall of my home and the back door. Dan reported that it was their error and it needs to be fixed. I still have no resolution to these issues and I spoke with Angela the secretary and she in writting stated that they would complete the job in one visit once the door is in. A month ago I spoke with Angela and the door is in after I stated that this is going on way to long since 2018 and I want my home corrected. I stated if I need I would get a lawyer. Angela then advised that Mike the owner will not allow the work to be completed now. My home is molding away. I am very disappointed with the service and more money it will cost me to have another company come out (which I have not done yet in hopes ) and do work that is covered by contract. Residential Speciaist will not return calls or emails anymore. I tried uploading emails and pictures but having issues.

    ***** ******* is not our customer she purchased the home in 2021.  There is no transferable labor warranty however we did offer to order the door for her under the manufactures warranty for a fee for labor and travel as good will she refused to pay any monies.  We are not liable for any services. Angela

    I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID ********, and have determined that this does not resolve my complaint.  For your reference, details of the offer I reviewed appear below.  Thank you for your reply. I have the original warranty that was purchased. Please see the attached pictures. Per the documents that I have on hand there is no extra charges for items that are covered under the warranty which is transferred per the contract Residential specialist has handed the original owner. The warranty covers the work that was completed the first time and any issues after. Angela and the company does have the door on hand to be replace the manufacture defect of the old one. They also sent Dan out as noted in last pictures. While he was here stated that the boards behind my siding under my kitchen window are rotting and it all needs to be replaced or the mold is continuing to grow. He stated this in front of myself, his coworker and my boyfriend. Angela stated via email that she will not send them out to replace the door and not complete the other work since it should be done in one job. they have stated originally that I was not anything to residential specialist and yet this correspondence proves that they have had correspondence with me. My reply indicates and shows that I am a customer of theirs and the work that they did needs to be corrected and completed at no charge.  if need be, then give me the door that they already purchased because of the manufacture defect.  This situation has been going on for years now and this is what it’s come to.  Regards,  ***** *******

    I have been in contact with this company for more than 2 years concerning the siding on my home which has warped on one side. The siding has a lifetime warranty and yet, having spoken with both the Cutomer Service Rep. (Angela) several times, and the Owner(Mike W. ), they have only strung me along with promises of a resolution. I have even faced personal insults several times from the owner of this company at a local restaurant.
