    Do not let anyone recommend that you buy URC products. I just moved into a huge new house and mistakenly agreed to pay a crazy amount of money to have both a URC MRX-15 controller and URC HDA **** amplifier installed, thinking that it would be great to be able to control devices around the house. What they don't tell you is that in order for the system to be programmed at all, you have to have an "authorized dealer" come out and program it for you. An authorized dealer is someone who paid tons of money to take their training courses. At no point in the process was this explained to me. The dealer just kept saying "it's the brains of the system" whatever that means. I contacted them about getting access to the software they use to program it and they told me that only their "authorized dealers" can have access to it. I'm not paying these clowns to come out and charge $100/hr to do something I could probably do myself, so now I have $5,000 of equipment that I can't use or sell. Don't be like me. Go with hardware that has an open system you can configure and control yourself.
