    On October 23, 2023, I hired Nelson Masonary and Construction **** to do some work around my home. He was recommended by a friend, so I trusted that he was reliable business. The CEO, Nelson *********, began the work in October, however by mid January, he stopped showing up to complete the job. He did not return my phone calls or text messages, and I found out later that he was screening my calls and avoiding them. I have already paid for more than the the work that was done and when I requested some of the funds back so that I can hire a new construction company to finish the job, he refused/ignored my request. He also refused to return to complete the job and at the resent time, has ghosted me. I am stuck with an incomplete project and without funds to complete it.Unfortunately there was no contract all was verbal agreement but I do have the cashed checks that I gave him. Please intervene on my behalf. Based on our last conversation with the CEO, he gave the impression that he was untouchable and there is nothing I can do.
