  Originally hired to repave driveway, man who claims to be ******* **** advised me to replace retaining wall first, when he said it was in danger of collapsing and taking the wall of my house with it. I agreed to pay $10,000 for the job and then contract to do driveway. He signed contract on 10/08/22 describing work to remove old concrete walls and replace with new concrete walls, and clear all waste. He said they would finish the job on Saturday and I paid him in full, in cash and obtained receipt. A crew member said they would return on Sunday and finish filling in the holes with dirt, etc. I do not know when they left on Saturday, but shortly afterwards, a man came for the dumpster they left behind and demanded $500 payment. When he was told we paid Fountain the money for the job, he called his boss who said they were told to collect $500 from the owner! The man demanded the money or a copy of my husband's credit card. Finally, my husband wrote a check to the construction company for $500 (so they would not put a lien on our property) and gave it to the man who collected the dumpster. We never should have done that. We should have called the police because now we are out of that $500. I called **** at his business number and he said he would be back to do the driveway on the weekend and would take the $500 off the cost of that. He never showed. I tried calling him many times but only got recording that they were not answering calls at this time. The address he gives as his business location appears to be an apartment complex. Letters sent to his business address are returned as undeliverable. I had to hire someone to finish cleaning up his work, backfilling the holes with dirt, and returning all items removed from driveway when the work was started. I do not discredit his crew's ability to do a decent job. I discredit the unethical deceit that was ever present in my dealing with this man.
