    I rented an apartment from this man and he did not follow any of the new york state laws. I had to repair things myself as he could never get to it. There were issues with parking that he never resolved and when given him my notice that I was moving he didn't do an inspection of the apartment. I have tried for several weeks to get my security deposit back with no response. He will make up excuses as to why he can't meet or will not answer calls. He never provided me anything in writing about a lease or lease terms and never provided me with documentation as to why he would not give me my deposit back, which at this point is past the limits of the NY laws. We were great tenants, never bothered anyone, and left the apartment in better condition then it was given to us.

    Response taken by phone:  I do apologize for the delay but it was for personal reasons.  They were good tenants.  The 30 days started once 30 day notice is received.   The amount was prorated which is allowed by law. They can pick up their deposit at any time.
