      I took out an insurance policy to cover damage, breakage or loss to a shipment they arranged from ******* to ******. Was given 2 options to either cover whole shipment or itemise. The 1st option was the easiest but I was never told it was purely loss of the whole shipment. I packed most of the items myself but chose the company to pack a couple of pieces of furniture as I felt professional packing would be preferable to safeguard damage. The base of the consul table with glass and mirrors has been bent and pushed out of alignment. In addition all the screws are missing. This is a signed ********************** piece of furniture.A wall unit with mirror, shelf and key holders has had the mirror broken. Although a few other items were broken or damaged the top item was the main piece in my entire shipment. Neither the company nor the insurance company are taking responsibility and dont even respond to emails. I filled this form in in June but never received confirmation so not sure if you ever received it.

      Before the client sign the contract, IMN explained the insurance difference.

      The client decide to purchase total loss insurance coverage.

      Insurance certificate sent to the client.

      As per the sign proof of delivery, no damage was marks.

      I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID# ********, and have determined that my complaint has NOT been resolved because:

       

      The insurance was NOT explained that only if  the entire shipment get lost would I be covered.  If this was the case I didn't need it to be packed by the shippers. I have receipt of delivery showing table damaged and screws missing.  The other broken mirror was not unpacked until the delivery guys had left.  The boxes were in a terrible state.  Broken and damaged.I would never have insured only for the entire shipment to be lost.  My understanding of 'total shipment' was damage and/or loss.  Sometimes one box gets lost etc.

      This is untrue.  They did NOT properly explain that I would only receive compensation if the entire shipment was lost.  I never would have taken that sort of insurance.   Unfortunately I should have read the reviews before booking this company as on reading them I see that the company is very efficient when they want your booking but are not interested in anything after they have taken your money. 

      The fact that their packing was insufficient and a strong solid item was twisted out of shape shows their lack of concern for items entrusted to their care.  In addition all the screws were missing to put this item together.  They MUST be responsible for something.  The item might as well have been lost because it can't be used.
