On 4/15, I contacted what I thought was the Geek Squad via Best Buy and I got this company instead. They charged me ****** to fix my computer issue and for a 3 year webroot and web threat protection firewall plan. The tech went on my computer remotely and supposedly fixed my computer. I noticed something was wrong when 1- they did not provide an activation code for more that 5 devices as promised and 2- I was unable to correct issues when their program did scans. I contacted them and this particular woman named ********************* was the tech who was assigned to me due to those issues. When they attempted calling me back,I learned that this was a scam company when I googled their phone number and saw plenty of complaints. I then called a local Best Buy geek squad and learned that they would never charge this kind of money and that I was scammed. They suggested I contact my bank and get my money back. My bank will not refund me the money because it has been over 89 days since I agreed to allow them to charge my debit card, but they agreed to stop any further payments to this company. I originally contacted my bank to report this as fraud just last month. The account that charged me the ****** was called ****** **** which is a tax software program which has nothing to do with software protections plans. I will also be notifying the *** about this and contacted Webroot to let them know that a company is impersonating them and notified Geek Squad of the same.

    Better Business Bureau:

I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID ********, and find that this resolution is satisfactory to me and the matter has been resolved.

    To whom it may concern:

Please be advised that the merchant returned my money to my bank this date, 10/18,  in the amount of ****** so this complaint can now be closed.

    Thank you!
