  **** was under the impression that one of my 1099's was "duplicate income", being a new business owner I trusted his word and then one day got a letter from the *** stating that I owe a grand amount of money. When bringing this to ****'s attention he wanted to charge me for "all of the extra work he now has to do" and was very rude and honestly unprofessional on the phone. He said "You aren't doing poorly enough why would I help you with paying down the interest. He was very demeaning & although he had admitted to his mistake he was not solution oriented.. My dad has known **** for over 20 years and I myself have worked with him over 5 years and the lack of professionalism and unwillingness to be come to a resolution was appalling to me. I would never treat my customers the way **** had treated me. He has very poor customer service, a lack of patience, and is a bully. I believe that he should be paying at least half of the interest to the *** because he did the job he was paid to do incorrectly even though he had all of the 1099's in hand. I would like him to either pay me back for the last three years of taxes he did because I had to get a new accountant or pay for the interest (which totaled to $4,000)

  I prepared ******************************* 2021 taxes.  Later, the *** sent a notice indicating that her business income was understated.  She requested that I pay her for the  interest that *** charged.  I refused and felt it was an inappropriate request.

  ******** is well aware of the income her business produces.  The inital amount of income that I arrived at, based upon her documentation, was rejected by her as being too high.  I then arrived at a lower amount and discussed in detail as to the method used to arrive at such income.  She approved the lower amount, and taxes were filed on that basis.

  I have been preparing taxes for 40 years and have never had anything like this occur.  I always do the best I can for my clients.  Even for ********, I followed through by corresponding with *** and was successful in reducing the amount assessed by over 50% and had penalty abated in full.
