About This Business

This firm raises funds for an organization called United Children's Fund located at 1747 Pennsylvania Avenue, NW, Washington DC. (PLEASE CONTACT THE COUNCIL OF BBBs FOR A REPORT ON THAT ORGANIZATION). The BBB requested that Good Cause Marketing provide information regarding its ad for employment as a management trainee. Specifically, we requested information about the offer as well as a list of ten employees who made _ $50,000 within their first year of employment as claimed in the ad. The firm did not provide the BBB with sufficient information to substantiate its claim. Based upon information received by the BBB, the identification badge used by employees of Good Cause Marketing prominently displays the logo of United Children's Fund as well as the name, address and phone number of the organization. The BBB believes this has the capacity to be misleading in that potential donors may believe the solicitor works or is a volunteer for United Children's Fund rather than an employee of the fundraising firm. The BBB requested a copy of Good Cause Marketing's fundraising script. The firm refused to provide a copy.
