Nick Guarino and Guarino Home Improvements & Property Maintenance LLC owes us $1200 from a deposit we paid him back in October. He asked for $1800 deposit on a $3000 job and he completed one small portion of that estimated at $650. Since then, he stated that he was in the hospital for a small heart attack due to issues with his son and child support. On December 15th, we said we completely understand and health comes first, just pay back the remainder of the deposit and we wish him well. He said on 12/15 he would put the remainder in the mail that weekend. After two weeks we reached out again saying we hadn't received the deposit. On 12/27 he responded saying "You'll get your money. Do what you have to do. When I get out of the hospital I'll mail it by the weekend." ******** photos show he was not in the hospital for 2 weeks and in fact he was updating his logo and company website. I provided my ***** and ***** information if he couldn't get a check in the mail. On 1/6 we reached out again and stated that we would be forced to make the issue public and contact the BBB if we don't receive the money through ***** or ***** by midnight. He has stated multiple times he would give us our deposit "by the weekend" but fails to do so. It appears he spent our deposit and can't pay us back.
