Conversations regarding the design of a custom bookshelf, followed by subsequent discussions during and after the custom bookshelf install was being performed, I stated to ******* that the bookshelf would be completed as a finished piece of furniture; which was always agreed upon. To our surprise, visible silver screws and oversized washers were never mentioned as elements that would compromise the visual integrity of the unit. At the cost of $7300.00 we expected the overall aesthetic of the finished product to be completed as attractive as the visual samples provided by myself to ******* as reference. Beyond vocalizing this to ******* several times, and ******* agreeing to provide a solution to this, he stated to me that he would address this while on site when he returned to perform the adjacent rooms ceiling trim, during the next contracted work day here. Because he did not perform this task, I also followed up with text/email to remind him. He replied that he would during next task here. Additionally, he did not state his work would interfere with the floor ventilation, and we are dissatisfied that the ventilation will not have sufficient air flow, compromised by the depth of the bookshelf. In order to resolve having a hole in the floor, we request the covering to this vent which has been left off, he either cut the metal vent cover and place appropriately or provide a wood cover. If the depth of the shelf had been been thoughtfully considered, then it would not have interfered, making the vent cover a very fair compromise. We are open to him making the depth of the shelving less so the original floor cover can remain functional Wood warping to custom front of fireplace surround built by *******. This will be long standing issue and stand out even after painting. Seams are wide and with fill by painter, factor with temperature variations * Need receipt of ceiling trim received for deposit of $1175.00 and payment of $1175.00 paid at completion

At this time, I have been contacted directly by DC Bean Contracting Corp. regarding complaint ID ********, however my complaint has NOT been resolved because:

    [Your Answer Here]

DC Bean Contracting Corp. defended his position and states if I want the trim secure I should be able to hire another professional, at my expense. Additionally, ******* stated that his time exceeded what he thought it should and therefore,

he was not obligated to do anymore work. We paid for a finished product, not based on time and materials so therefore we felt/feel ******* should have finished the finished project according to our contract.
