On September 11, 2022 I went to the Sunoco Station located at ***************************************************************************** at 12:29pm. When I pulled into the station, I noticed the sign read the gas was $3.259 per gallon. I pulled up and was about the exit my car to pump the gas, when the attendant came over and insisted on pumping for me. I asked him if he was going to pump my gas for $3.25 with my credit card and he replied yes. He took my card and I told him to fill up the tank. He stood right by my drivers side window the entire time, blocking my view to the pump. When he was done, he gave me back my credit card and I asked for a receipt. At first, he didnt want to give me one, I insisted and eventually he gave me my receipt. I was so shocked when I saw it, the sign said $3.259 a gallon but he charged me $6.939 per gallon. When I argued with him, he stated that he charges a fee for using a credit card. I said to him, 10 cents or 20 cents extra but not $3.63 extra per gallon!! I told him that was illegal, and it was price gauging. He said it was his fees and that he isnt going to change it. I told him to reverse the charge and charge me the correct amount and he refused. I didnt take a picture of his pump, but there was no sign stating that the charge for a credit card was $6.939, and if there was,it wasn't within view. Also, he knew I was using a credit card, when I asked him if the charge was $3.25 for a gallon, he shouldnt have said yes, he should have told me the correct price. He stole from me. I dont mind paying for what I purchased, but for the price I was quoted, $3.259 a gallon. What should have been a $46.29 bill was instead $ *****. Is that really fair? He more than doubled the price, for HIS fee! After speaking with neighbors, *** come to learn that I am not the only person he has done this to. He needs to be stopped, what he is doing is illegal.
