      Last Monday, November 25th, 2024 at 1:51pm, I got a car wash at Squeaky Clean Car Wash in Cortland, NY. This cost $16.19 (see receipt). Their website (*********************************/) claims that they use soft foam technology that is gentle on your car and "prevents micro scratches in the paint". However, quite the opposite occurred: their car wash left SEVERAL scratches on my vehicle (see pictures). I noticed these scratches right when I got home. I then drove back to the car wash and filed out an incident report with the assistant manager. I got an estimate on how much it will cost to buff out all the scratches (see estimate attached). This would come to $982.80. One week after the incident, the manager, Frank A*** got in touch with me and asked me to bring the car in so he could view the scratches. Upon viewing, he claimed that they were not caused by his car wash, which uses "gentle foam technology", and he refused to pay for any of the damages. This business also does not answer their business phone. I have been trying to cancel my monthly car wash membership, and their answering machine claims they will get back to me within 1 business day. I have called 3 times in the span of a week and received no reply.

      To Whom it may concern:In response to this complaint, we are providing you with more accurate information.  On November 25, 2024, customer did in fact wash their vehicle at 1:51 PM.  As you can see in the photos provided by the customer, and upon our inspection of the vehicle, you can clearly see that these are not micro scratches, but are deep scratches in multiple locations, moving in all different directions on the vehicle.  A customer incident report was completed, and our General Manager, met with the customer and inspected the vehicle.  He made the correct determination that all scratches on the vehicle were pre-existing, and that Squeaky Clean was not responsible in any way.Regarding the customer's statements claiming that we have been unresponsive, customer requested cancellation of membership on November 25, 2024. On the morning of November 27, 2024, we cancelled membership as requested.  On that same day, we also reached out to the customer, and the voicemail was full.  We then continued efforts to contact customer on several occasions, and finally were able to leave a voicemail on December 6, 2024 informing the customer that membership was cancelled.

      I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID ********, and have determined that this does not resolve my complaint.  For your reference, details of the offer I reviewed appear below.
      The Squeaky Clean Car Wash workers are lying in order to save their business money. I have had my car less than two months and could not have gotten those scratches anywhere but the car wash. I saw the scratches immediately after I got home from the car wash. The general manager refuses to believe that a twig, rocks, or some other particle could have gotten in their car wash bristles and scratched my car, even though the car wash was very busy that day with mere seconds between cars entering the wash. I am not satisfied with their response — they owe me $982.80 in damages.
