      While attending ******* ********** I lived at Travis Hyde Properties’ Ravenwood Apartments, and the management was consistently antagonistic and discriminatory. I have several instances of this nature but my largest concern is which how move out was handled. On the 27th of December, I emailed my property manager asking *Specifically* what our move out date was, as I could not get to my lease records. She replied, on corporate letterhead, that it was May 30th. On May 29th, the end date stated on the lease, she came to my apartment at 7:40 am and demanded that I vacate the apartment within 20 minutes or be charged a $350 fee for holdover. This is one of a pattern of *SEVERAL* predatory and exploitative behaviors demonstrated by Travis Hyde whereby using the fundamental primitives of the lease agreement they skirt basic ethics and steal money from college students. Not only did my property manager *manufacture* a situation in which I would be charged a fee, since it is nearly impossible to leave within 20 minutes, but also in which I would lose my security deposit, as it is impossible to have the apartment cleaned or prepared for move out. The monetary outcome of that being $350 + $500 = $850 taken from me and my roommate. But worst of all, Travis Hyde intends to steal and refuses to return my furniture and belongings, most of which I was forced to leave behind, including a PRICELESS 65 inch tv which was given to me for my birthday by my roommate, and a $400 ****** mattress which I had to purchase to replace the originally supplied mattress in our “furnished” apartment, which was soiled with urine. Her BLATANT lie and utterly unethical behavior, demanding that it doesn’t matter what she said and that its “in the lease” costed me over $2000, $2000 I do not have as a struggling student. Travis Hyde constantly steals furniture and money from students using practices like this so they can sell their apartments as furnished, essentially using students for new replacements.
