The shipping company, ************* ******** which is either a subsidiary or affiliate of US Mailbox Express **** posted advertisement on ******** that they will ship packages to ***** for $5.50 per lb. There was no mention of minimum fee or weight of the package. I sent 5lb worth of items to their office in ******** so that it can be delivered to *****. I was told it would take 10 days to deliver the item. After 2 weeks, when I did not hear anything from them, I contacted them for an update. They said my package will be delivered in two days and they said they will send an invoice. After 3 weeks of sending the package, they said the package has reached ***** and I need to make a payment for shipping. I was shocked when they sent an invoice of $45. I was expecting the bill to be $27.50 because my package was about 5lb and the rate was advertised as $5.50 per lb. When I expressed my concern that their advertisement was deceptive and their practice is fraudulent, they said I will have to pay $45 for my package to be delivered. I offered to pay $27.50 and pick it up from their office instead of having them deliver it to the home address I provided. They said they would send the office address. But they have been unresponsive since then. Instead of responding to me, they contacted the package recipient in ***** and asked them to pay the shipping fee of $45. They package is worth about $ 50. List of their Deceptive and Predatory Practices -They did not disclose the hidden fees (minimum fee) up front. It's not mentioned in their ******** ad or their website. I called them before shipping the item and I was not informed about this policy.-The fact that they waited to send invoice until the item has reached ***** shows their intent to defraud by leaving people no choice but to pay. -They promised to deliver the package in 10 days. But it has been 24 days. They sent the invoice on 20th day of shipping the item.

At this time, I have been contacted directly by US Mailbox Express regarding complaint ID ********, however my complaint has NOT been resolved because:

The item I sent was perishable and I couldnt wait for the complaint to be resolved. The recipient needed the item as soon as possible. So, I was forced to pay $45 to deliver the items. However, I still want the refund of the extra money I was forced to pay. I want the business to change its unethical practice and change their ads to reflect the accurate charges of shipping
