    I entered into a one year contract with Kane Exterminating for Termite inspection services, which I was lead to believe was based on 12 calendar months.When I contacted Kane Exterminating to provided a Termite Inspection prior to contract expiration, they refused. They stated I was four days out of contract on December 19, 2023. I was unable to contact them earlier in December, because I was away on vacation.

    ****************** had a termite inspection with Kane Exterminating Corp. on December 15th, 2022. As a company policy, due to possible hidden damage, we extend a one year guarantee to protect the client. This is not a termite inspection service, this is a guaranteed inspection to protect the client against possible hidden damages. 

    ***************************** contract period ran Year-To-Date from December 15, 2022 to December 15, 2023, as illustrated by his certificate guarantee (Please see attachment). He received a renewal notice at the beginning of November, reminding him of his coverage expiring.

    We offer a courtesy check up inspection for concerned clients, but per our contract, this is not technically a part of the agreement. We are sorry that he had forgot to call us for an inspection, but all of our clients are notified of expiring agreement, at least one month prior to expiry. We cannot control if our clientele is away from home at any given time.  At the point he called us, he was out of term, and as he discussed with our staff, he was not interested in renewing at the time of his phone call due to his plans to sell the property in question. As of his phone call on December 19th, he was out of term with us, and out of guarantee with Kane Exterminating Corp.

    He was notified by our staff, that we could offer a courtesy inspection for his next renewal term of 23'- 24' if he chose to advance his renewal date through December 15th, ****, but he made the choice to forego that opportunity. This advancement would cover him and is transferrable to a new owner should the home be sold.

    ****************** was offered the opportunity to extend his coverage, and declined, so we are unable to offer him an inspection at this time.
