I had a concerning experience with this company, which appears to use automated systems and engages in questionable practices. They falsely claimed to be affiliated with my current insurance provider and said they had my policy information on file. A representative named Shannon contacted me, stating she had a policy under my name but with an outdated address. I have part of the VM stating this before I picked up the call.
When I asked for clarification and mentioned I would verify their claims with my actual insurance company, her demeanor became increasingly aggressive. I questioned how she could be affiliated when all my documents and payments go through a different company. She claimed to be a licensed broker, but when I asked for her license number, she became defensive. Although she said she was based in North Carolina, the license number she provided was from California.
She repeatedly urged me to call the 800 number she was using, but I insisted on contacting my insurer directly using the number on my policy documents. After doing so, my insurance provider confirmed that this company, Lease Track, is not affiliated with them in any way. This was a sales tactic for me to buy into a different company while trying to say they were with my current insurance provider.
This experience raised serious red flags. I strongly recommend that others verify any such claims directly with their insurance providers. If a company is truly affiliated, it will be clearly listed as an additional insured party on your policy. Be cautious—this situation felt deceptive and potentially predatory.

This company is run by artificial intelligence and participates in predatory practices. Large housing organizations and apartment complexes are using this company and billing tenants for rental insurance without the tenants knowledge. The company should be forced to repay tenants who have been unknowingly billed and the company should be shut down.

Terrible! They confirmed I had insurance with another company, and they still charged me $15. Its been 90 days and I still have not received my refund!! First lady lied and said I would get the refund in April. Mind you this charge is From February. April came still no Refund!! Now they want me to do all this work just so they can finally provide a Refund!! I’m confused on why I have to do your job for you!! When you all should have done your job from the beginning and this wouldn’t be happening. If I could Give zero stars I would!!

Charged me for renters insurance when I clearly had ******** insurance for 2 years. Never once received an email that I would be charged for lease track. Now they will not give me my money back both least track and the apartment complex are saying that they never received by renters proof of insurance from all state even though all state has the date and the time that they sent it to the apartment complex

They require very precise language on renter’s insurance that is not standard on the proof of insurance forms for most insurers. Failure to get that language exactly right leads to them enrolling you in their policy, which costs twice what my existing policy costs per month. It’s not quite a scam, but it’s a hair’s breadth away from one. Anyone who is t savvy with insurance will likely end up having to pay their absurd premiums.

This Lease Track AI service is very difficult to work with for renters insurance verification. My renter’s insurance from July 2022 to July 2023 never had a lapse in coverage. I uploaded my renter’s insurance to their website as requested and also sent by email. I was charged since August 2023. The Lease Track AI’s reasoning was the Additional Interest party had the wrong address. Well I originally had the correct address on there and was told by the Brookfield Property Manager to change it from the Albany NY address to the actual property address because Brookfield is a big property management company and also Lease Track had told her that the address needed to be the property address. Lease Track instead of acknowledging they made a mistake in this or whomever told the Brookfield property manager this was mistaken when forwarded the email employed delay tactics and wouldn’t admit to the mistake. All the while continuing to charge me for renter’s insurance when I was and still am fully covered with no lapse in coverage. I bring it up to the Brookfield property manager again who forwards my renter’s insurance along with the email that has my proof I uploaded the renter’s insurance to their website and that they, Lease Track had told the Brookfield property manager the wrong address. Lease Track sends a reply directly to me without replying to the Brookfield property manager that the Additional Interest has to have the Albany NY address so they can track when my lease is expired/renewed and in accordance to their policy I am still not within compliance. This AI generated response and review lacks the human flexibility needed to recognize 1) a mistake was made by Lease Track by telling the Brookfield property manager to have me put the wrong address on my renter’s insurance Additional Interest; 2) that this noncompliance was caused by Lease Track AI; and 3) by providing the worst customer service by only being concerned with being right when they caused the issue.

Purposefully rejects your proof you have other insurance with reasons they never disclose properly before submission of other insurance policy. Wants you to put a random PO box in New York, never explicitly states it until AFTER it rejects your insurance. They do this on purpose so they can charge you still. My current building has this system in place, and it is horrible. Leasetrack does not return emails, and property management staff does not give half a **** to go talk to them unless I go TO them and say "i'm unhappy and you are about to lose my lease."
I am low income. Stop trying to **** me.

This company is the biggest scam I’ve been seen. They keep you on hold for an hour give you a phone number to call that phone number is either disconnected or a totally separate insurance company that is not affiliated by lease track. I have submitted a claim about my broken fridge and I was a brought three more broken fridges in the same week. When I filed a claim about this lease track said they’re not responsible and that doesn’t go under my renters insurance. But my property manager says because I pay monthly they are supposed to reimburse me for the damages. Lease track refuses to call me back or take my calls or emails. They put you on hold and transfer you to different departments who have nothing to do with the situation and can’t even help you out either. It has been over a week of trying to speak to a manger or supervisor but they are always away from the desk or in an important meeting so we can never get our issues resolved. We threw away 500$ in groceries and they don’t want to reimburse me. I already pay over $2,000$ a month to even live in this “luxury apartments” but can’t even get reimbursement from an issue they created
