They started off ok. Recently they refuse to update my insurance policy after numerous attempts and do not send a confirmation via email as stated on the website. It has caused me to have to pay for extra insurance fees. They are useless at this point.

Ineffective and incorrectly causes forced placed insurance as a result of lack of communication with interested parties

The onboarding process left a bad taste in my mouth and needs fixing, especially for potential customers with mixed breed dogs, meaning most dog owners. A large demographic, right? If you answer anything besides what a "perfect" resident would say, be prepared to have to more than your fair share of legwork just to get a quote. (Ex. We had a mixed breed Chow who has been socialised very well since he was a puppy. He's never bitten anyone.) When getting a quote on their website (at least on 5/27/22), they asked 1. If we owned a dog. 2. "Has your dog previously bitten anyone or is it one of these breeds: Akita, Alaskan Malamute, American Staffordshire or Bull Terrier, Bull Mastiff, Chow Chow, Doberman, Pit Bull, Presa Canario, Rottweiler, or Wolf Hybrid, or mix of these?" #1 is easy. Duh. #2 is alri- Hey wait a minute. Those are a bit different questions to squish together. That listed a number of breeds too... Weird. - You had to answer 'Yes' to #2 to be able to specify your answer for the mixed breed part of the question. - - Not a huge deal, but a crap way to treat potential customers and setup most dog owners for failure anyway. - If you answer yes to both parts of #2, they make you call a number. || No Quote until you call them. || A call they say "should only take two or three minutes", but will have you on hold for 15+. Just fix the website so neither party has to waste each other's time. We get it. Insurance doesn't want to pay for things because it's a business. But at least separate the questions. Perhaps consult the National Canine Research Council & the Insurance Information Institute for actual data to improve how you do business? Maybe even save you, as a company, some money too? Breeds don't mean much on their own. Compare it with how popular the breed is so you know how big the sample size is for statistics. If anything does happen, demand the owner take the dog to training. It's usually the owner being bad.
