           Being charged $54.00 for equipment pick up and wasn't notified of any charge for pickup. Nor was this even part of my continued service  until I cancelled. I was told 4-28-22 was last pickup for garbage and billing. They could've took garbage can on 4-28-22 not wait another week then pick it up and send a $54.00 bill on 5-2-22. Customer service had no answer other than its a new charge company if adding. Shanks failed to notify anyone of  this equipment pick up charge let alone  say anything about it when I cancelled service on 4-28-22 and was told no other bill was outstanding so I feel ? Shanks failed to inform any customers of the charge and could have taken garbage can on 4/28/22 my last pickup date I don't owe anything. I could charge them for weeks worth of storage and I also has to call them to come get there garbage can over week later. thank you for your help.

      At the time a customer sets up service with our company, a welcome packet is given. That welcome
      packet states;
      “It takes approximately 7-10 business days to have equipment delivered, exchanged and/or
      pulled. Please be patient with our delivery time frame as a separate truck (other than the refuse
      truck) transports the equipment”.
      This information was provided to you at the time you set up an account for service. In addition, you
      experienced learning this information first-hand, given your brief employment with the company.
      Over the course of time, many companies experienced a hardship, including ours, with the increase cost
      of fuel and other expenses associated with doing business. When we implemented a fee for pulling
      equipment, we immediately indicated that information on the service bill as a standard, blanket
      statement. You indicated in your complaint your last service day being April 28. The company
      equipment was pulled from your residence on Saturday, April 30 and your account was charged on the
      first business day after the transaction took place, Monday, May 2.

      I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID ********, and have determined that this does not resolve my complaint.  For your reference, details of the offer I reviewed appear below.

      I don't don't work for them.  I have never worked for them.  What they are saying does not make sense.  They never told us that there would be a fee for pulling garbage.  They said it was at the bottom of the invoice.  They said they need a special truck to pick up the garbage can.

      Due to the increase in fuel prices and the general cost of maintaining and doing business, rates have increased on multiple levels and over a series of months. We did implement a pull fee for equipment removal.  As soon as this change had taken place, we immediately indicated it on the customer invoice (in bold print), which is the most timely and efficient way of communicating with everyone who receives their bill by post mail or e-mail.  Your specific account was set up, per your preference, to be mailed monthly.
