       My Complaint is that Donnie W**** did not complete his job. The old fence is still up I paid Donnie exact 220.00 for solar light top on each post. I paid in cash for Donnie to some logs $50.00 in cash 150.00 to kill a stump, $160.00 fix leak in bath tub. I paid Donnie 7,100.00 for the vinyl fence.

    Spoke with business. Stump killer takes 6 months to work. Shower work takes time for seal paste to work. Told her to let me know, she never called. Next. Solar light extensions are in the order from manufacturer. He was told she hired someone else to fix the sink and not to worry about it. Next thing he gets our complaint letter stating work not completed and wants money back. Work was completed except for fence due to being vinyl. Toppers for fence would be put on when fence was completed. SHE BROKE THE CONTRACT BY HAVING SOMEONE ELSE DO THE FENCE. The fence was scheduled to be the following Monday. She was told that along with her son that the fence was beginning on Monday. However again....She had someone else come in and finish the work, breaking the contract.

    I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID ********, and have determined that this does not resolve my complaint.  For your reference, details of the offer I reviewed appear below.

    Response taken by phone:  I did not breach the contract, he did.  I gave him $3500 on March 12 and $2100 in April.  He put half the posts up in May and finished 7/25.  I paid him $220 to order  the solar light caps in July but he left them at my cousins house and told him to give them to me in September (did not install them).   I gave him an additional check for $1500 in July for his labor.  He never removed the old fence and when questioned it he said he would take it down when he was done.  I have paid a total of $7100 and I will settle for a refund of $1000 for the fence that was not removed and solar light caps that were not installed.

    Response taken by phone:  The consumer failed to mention a few details.   When I attempted to fix the shower faucet, I told her if she had any issues she should call me and she did not call.  I had every intention of taking the fence down I had planned to return on Monday but I received a call from her cousin saying she had hired someone to take care of the job.  I was told to just drop off the lights which I did.  I did drill out the tree stump and poured Stump Be Gone on there and it will kill the remaining roots in time.  If she needs me to come back to complete anything, I am still willing to it.  She just needs to call.

    Response taken by phone:  I paid him $5600 in March and a total of $7100 before in total .  He did not even start until may and he never finished.  I gave him the money to purchase the lights but they were the wrong lights and instead of installing them, he dropped them off at my cousin's house.   He is not going to do the job right and I do not want him on my property.  I will settle for $1500 because now I have to pay someone to remove the old fence.  This is more than fair.
