    I attended ******** Comic Con in 2021 and was approached by a vendor who claimed to have a personal and professional relationship with the artists and offered his services (witnessing ******************** of my valuable collectibles and expediting the process of getting them graded at CGC in ******* etc). This can be a lengthy process, 200 days for the items I had. I reached out again after 7 months (April) and was told my comics were coming in the following week. Then I was told they would all be shipped to me by July, then August, then September and on. He went from having everything in his possession in May to not having it anymore to having everything but one. He couldn't send it once because he "had covid" and on and on. It's been nonstop lies and the stories have had no consistency. I had the opportunity to see him locally on October 7th and he sent another text promising unequivocally that I would have all of my comics graded and in my home by the 14th. Once again another false promise. Not only did he not send anything but he never bothered to reach out and update me through the entire ordeal. The point of the grading process is to increase value significantly and the option to resell down the line. These comics have gone up significantly in value and he refuses to provide the items themselves, a picture, documentation showing chain of custody with CGC etc.I believe that he sold them for a profit but regardless he stole them from me and has had ample time to return them or prove to me that they are still at CGC if that is not the case. He has had other complaints filed against him. His website doesn't work. His listed place of business is a condemned building I don't even believe his real name is ***************************** at this point. This grifter should never be able to do business in this line of work again.

    I have spoken to this customer on several occasions explaining to him that the grading service, CGC, is extremely behind in its grading process.  I do have this customer's ******** book in my possession and was waiting for the additional books from CGC to ship them to this customer all at the same time as I had explained to him previously.  I explained to him that two of the books came to me from CGC initially damaged and I had to send them back to CGC to be "reslabbed".  I have apologized to this customer repeatedly for the delay but I am at the mercy of the grading service.  Everyone in this business knows that the grading service is extremely behind in grading.  I have gone directly to the grading service to expedite the books and they are working diligently to process the books for me.  As soon as the books are completed,   I will be picking them up myself.  I can have the books shipped to the customer or will hand deliver to him, whatever he would prefer.

    Better Business Bureau:

    I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID# ********, and have determined that my complaint has NOT been resolved because:

    Per my comments and screenshots of our conversations *** claimed to have anywhere from 4 to 9 of my books in good condition in his possession and ready to mail out as early as April. He texted me as recently as October 7th stating that he had at least 4 of my books at his home and he guaranteed I would receive them by October 15th. I do not accept that number magically coming down to 1. I need all of my books in hand to be satisfied. 

     

    Additionally, I confirmed with ***, the company that supposedly has all of my books,  that the turnaround time is absolutely NOT 14 months but is closer to 7. They also confirmed that *** has the ability to add me on to the account so I can view the current status of my books ( when they were received, where they are now, which have been graded, the grades, when they were picked up/mailed out) but he refuses to acknowledge this simple solution.

     

    I am absolutely NOT satisfied with these inconsistent stories completely lacking in any logic or anything tangible. 

     

    Put simply I need two things.

     

    1. All 10 of my books in my hands

    2. Access to the *** account to view the timeline of each one of my books from the time they were dropped off to the time they were picked up/shipped out.

     

    I will accept nothing less.
